1. The first: Time Has Com… Read Full Bio ↴There are two bands called Time Has Come:
1. The first: Time Has Come is based out of Mansfield, Ohio and have been a band since July of '97. Before that Chris, Scott, and Keith (all from Mansfield, 60 miles north of Columbus and 70 miles south of Cleveland) started a band called Hostile Environment back in '94. They released a 7 song CD, and about the only highlight was the trip to NYC to play at CBGB's with H2O, then after a little break-up in early '96 because of the direction the band was going plus the scene was getting old! Then they got T- (Terry, from Mansfield) in the band to head into the direction they wanted. They wrote a few songs and recorded a 5-song demo, then began their hardcore journey. After a busy '96, which included alot of cool shows, and one with Madball they added another guitarist-Downtown Tony Brown in early '97. Tony (from West Salem, Ohio) played in Face Value for around 6 years, then he joined T H C.
In '97 they did some shows with Warzone and Murphy's Law and wrote many songs and didn't play in Mansfield for over a year, then towards the end of '97 they went into Mars Studio to record a 10 song demo. Late that year they played with Agnostic Front, this gig got them shows with alot of great bands all over Ohio, Kentucky and maybe some future shows in the Detroit area. A few months after the 10-song demo was recorded the band went back in to record 5 more tunes. In '98 they would finally get a deal from C.I. Records which released two 4 song 7 inches in 1999 & 2000. The summer of 1999 T H C Recorded 8 new songs that appear on the 22 song CD "Taught By The Best" then in 2000 recorded and released a 3 song CD/EP titled "Work, Drink, Play."
Late in the year 2000 "Downtown" Tony Brown decided to leave the band for personal reasons, we all wish him the best. TIME HAS COME quit as a band in 2001. Chris had some personal things in his life he needed to focus on, T needed to fulfill some things in his life and that allowed no room for what it takes to be dedicated to any band. $eith and Scott started in a new band they formed with Jason McFly called Lock Down.
2. The second: Call it Hardcore (you'd be wrong), Grind, Techmetal, Noise, Mathcore, . call it whatever you want.
After a band existence of about two years THC can look back on +50 inland and abroad shows, on sold-out cds or even on in a blink of an eye gone merchandise.
Time Has Come's first output, a SplitCD with Dead For Seven Weeks, received overwhelming reviews for their tracks on the cd. Their next release will be another split cd. This time with a band, who is still not confirmend, but maybe fit enough to hold the candle to Time Has Come.
A THC full length record is also scheduled for spring 2007, meanwhile their tracks of their first split CD will be released on a strictly limited 7".
Since Time Has Come's very start, their live shows have always been a trademark and kept crowds all over Europe speechless. They shared stages with bands like Heaven Shall Burn, The Cursed, Walls Of Jericho, Deadlock, Hatesphere and toured with their brothers in mind and lifeforce rec. artist War From A Harlots Mouth and Brazil's no1 metalcore-export Confronto. For the next months more tours are planned, even a tour through the USA is in the store for the 6 guys.
I'm the Abyss
Time Has Come Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I am the abyss. Behold my gaze. And die.
Be strong and be courageous
Do not be afraid or terrified of me
Your god goes with you
He will never leave you nor forsake you
I push myself inside of you. Just close your eyes
Behold my gaze and die. Slowmotion.
Do not be afraid or terrified of me
Your god goes with you
He will never leave you nor forsake you
I push myself inside of you. Just close your eyes
Behold my gaze and die
The lyrics of Time Has Come's song I'm the Abyss create a haunting image of an ominous being possessing and ultimately destroying the listener. The first line, "I push myself inside of you. Slowmotion," can be interpreted as the being entering the listener's mind or soul, taking over their being in a gradual and controlled manner. The second line, "I am the abyss. Behold my gaze. And die," reinforces the idea of the being as a powerful, overwhelming force that is capable of causing destruction and death.
The subsequent lines, "Be strong and be courageous / Do not be afraid or terrified of me / Your god goes with you / He will never leave you nor forsake you," adds a layer of religious subtext to the lyrics. It suggests that the being represents something dark and malevolent, possibly the manifestation of evil, that the listener must combat with the help of their faith.
