The Year was 1968 I was !5 Going on 16 And My Friend Anthony and Darrell Roane Snuck me into Dunfey Tavern in Windsor They were Cousins With Sherman Bowens cousin to Tony Bowens . I Had My Own Soul Band Called The Midnight Movers and When I Saw and Heard these Cats WOW I knew what I wanted for my Band . They Played The Galaxy Room also . Sadly I Heard Tony got Killed in Japan on a R&R From Vietnam I don't know if it was true but If so very Sad I remember this Band He Had his Sister playing Bass in this group they were Bad to the Bone

@Carrie Robinson Thank you CARRIE for your reply I wish I got to Met your DAD he was a KILLER DRUMMER Man He had chops and Groove and pocket for days you Must be very Proud of him. I pray he still with us If So Please Tell him He has a Devot FAN and fellow Drummer Harold Sargent is Another great drummer Back in those days With WOOD BRASS and STEEL also look him up I bet youll Love his Playing also. I have To Disagree with That Rob Fried was Tonys Drummer Rob was born in 1958 When I saw Tony in 68 He had a Black Drummer Who was well in his late teens early 20's . Rob would have been 10 years old and white. I knew Rob He was a Drummer Much later for Max Creek but not Tony Bowens @*****
