3744 James Road
Tony Mcphee Band Lyrics

I'd love to love you
But my hands are tied
Break these chains
Oh oh these chains that are killing me
You don't need money if you've got love
We've got each other and its more than enough
Oh oh these chains that are holding me
Ooh ooh my love
It's all too much for me to take
Take these chains
Take these chains
She never thought that I could live without her
All the little things she used to do
Then I fell in love with you
You found me
You took me in
When no one wanted me
Making love on a sandy beach
The stars above us and we're clean out of reach
Of my chains
oh oh the chains that were killing me
And you make everything a paradise
And paradise with you is twice as nice
Never change, never change what you're doing to me
Never change
Never change
The lyrics of Tony Mcphee Band's song "3744 James Road" seem to be about a person who is trapped in a situation where they cannot be with the person they love. The singer of the song seems to be expressing their deep desire to be with their love interest, but they are unable to do so because of some chains that are holding them back. The song suggests that the chains represent some kind of obstacle or barrier that the singer must overcome in order to be with their love.
The song goes on to suggest that money is not a necessary factor for love to flourish. The singer claims that they do not need money because they have someone they love by their side, which is more than enough. The song also talks about falling in love with someone unexpected – the singer seems to have moved on from their past love and found someone new who has given them a second chance.
The song ends on a positive note, with the singer expressing their contentment with their current relationship and the love that they share. Overall, the song is about the power of love to overcome obstacles and bring people together.

Criminal this band still goes largely untalked about... I remember them from the early 70s and they are still as good as way back then. Tony Mcfee. Absolute legend

Absolutely brilliant, probably my favourite guitar solo of all time, makes the instrument sound like it has a life and soul of its own. Tony Mcphee is an incredible guitarist but so much more, an innovative and uncompromising musical genius. So good to see him recently, on top form again and looking well on the road to a full recovery.

Greatest solo. Saw them many times in the 70s. Especially at Barbarellas in Birmingham.
