When I hear it, well, I sing

Music has been passed down for generations and I contribute to this long-standing tradition through my own songwriting and musicianship.

Everyone experiences difficult times in their lives.

Of dark and darker days, yeah
These difficult times can feel overwhelming and all-consuming.

Saturn seems to be returning
In astrology, the planet Saturn represents challenges and obstacles, and these may come back around in our lives.

And his essence can't be tamed
These challenges can't be controlled or predicted - they simply exist.

Some may like to fight it
Some people may feel inclined to push back against these challenges or try to overcome them quickly.

Try to plan a secret attack
Others may attempt to confront these challenges in secretive or sneaky ways.

But the more you push it
Resisting these challenges may only exacerbate them and make them more difficult to manage.

The more it's pushin' you back
By resisting or trying to hurry through these challenges, they may become more frustrating and insurmountable.

So, you can't rush your healing
It's important to allow ourselves the time and space needed to heal from difficult experiences - we can't rush this process.

Darkness has its teachings
Even dark times can teach us valuable lessons and provide opportunities for growth and learning.

Love is never leaving
Love and support from others can help us through difficult times and will always be present in our lives.

Mama, well, she told me time is such a wonderful gift
My mother taught me that time is a precious gift that should be used wisely and valued deeply.

You're not running out
Despite feelings of scarcity or urgency, we have ample time to live our lives and recover from difficult experiences.

In fact, by allowing ourselves time to heal, we're moving forward and progressing inwardly.

Confusion clouds the heart but it also points the way
While confusion and uncertainty can be challenging to navigate, they can also offer insight and direction towards a better path forward.

Quiet down the mind
Slowing down, taking breaks, and focusing on self-care can help ease confusion and bring clarity.

With patience and self-care, inspiration and music will come more easily.
