It's Hard to Smile When You're…
Twiztid Lyrics

No, are you s- seriously, are you cryin'?
What makes you say that?
Um, your moist cheeks, the streams running
No the huffing and puffing
No, I'm just, I'm really tired
I've walked a long way to get here
Dude, seriously, stop it stop it why? What
What are you crying about?
I'm just- everything is-
Now you're starting to make me cry
I don't wanna be by myself
We're here like a couple of bitches
Like a couple of crying little bitches
You know what we need to do? You
Know what we need to do? No, we've done it
We need to smile we've done it
If we smile, we, i was told that you can't
Cry when you're smiling here goes
Gonna try it that just looks like I
Had a stroke that's not a smile
Stop making me laugh! Stop making me laugh!
The lyrics of Twiztid's song "It's Hard to Smile When You're..." express the feeling of sadness, fatigue, and frustration. The conversation between the two individuals reflects the difficulty of facing challenges in life and hiding behind a smile. The first person denies crying, but the second person observes the physical signs of tearfulness. The conversation reveals that both individuals are tired, and the first person expresses that complex emotions are overwhelming. The second person mocks the vulnerable state of the first person by using derogatory language, and suggests that smiling may help them feel better. However, even the attempt to smile seems forced and unhelpful.
The song "It's Hard to Smile When You're..." addresses the theme of mental health, challenging the societal expectation to appear happy all the time. The lyrics encourage listeners to acknowledge their feelings, reach out for help, and challenge the stigma surrounding vulnerability. The poignant conversation between the two individuals depicted in the song also highlights the importance of genuine human connection in facing emotional difficulties..
