Follow Me
Two Nice Girls Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

you're all i see these days
but you're so far away
this dream is never ending
you're falling through my broken mind
i've been caught up this time
finally showing some passion
these shattered eyes
have broken on the thought of leaving you
but i must go

inside my heart
i'm aching spent time on
others faking. you've stolen my heart
and trapped my mind
i'm giving in to you
i'm lost again
i see there is no difference were still alone

so come home with me tonight
we'll lay till dark turns light
can't fight this feeling in myself
i'm lost in thoughts.
we'll wave... you're gone
silence evolves
we'll wave... you're gone
follow me home

something strange in me
i feel the same for you
but there is no difference
we're still alone
there is no need in crying
there is no need in dying
it makes no difference
were still alone

so come home with me tonight
we'll lay till dark turns light
can't fight this feeling in myself
i'm lost in thoughts.
we'll wave... you're gone
silence evolves
we'll wave... you're gone
follow me home

so come home with me tonight
we'll lay till dark turns light
can't fight this feeling in myself
i'm lost in thoughts.
we'll wave... you're gone
silence evolves
we'll wave... you're gone
follow me home
we'll wave... you're gone

silence evolves
we'll wave and you're gone

I lived in Austin from August 1985 to August 1991. Saw them live several times including an amazing night at Liberty Lunch with Poi Dog Pondering. The two bands combined to perform "Reunited". I had the Two Nice Girls EP on cassette but that finally died. Miss them and miss what Austin was like then.

Vocals from the heavens. By far the best cover of this song.

@ruthgoldman9791

I had a drive time radio show in the late 80s and played this song as one of my early morning songs. Brilliant mash-up.

@dsidener1

This is one of my top 5 songs of all time. 2 Nice Girls - where are you now? Great, great version of two great songs.

Wow, blown away by this and first time listening. Dateline 2022. Delicate accoustics and harmonies.

@flashrobbie

love the cross with Joan Armitrading's Love and Affection

@kenlieck7756

The proper title of this number is actually "Sweet Jane (With Affection)". They also did a Donna Summer/Bad Company proto-mashup called "I Feel (Like Making) Love"!

I heard this song on a mix tape back in school in the 90s. No idea who they were. And now I know who they were. Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful.....
