Out of Control
U.S. Crush Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Eighteen years of dawning
I say how long
You say how long
It was one dull morning
Woke the world with bawling
I was so sad (so sad)
I was of a feeling it was out of control
I had the opinion it was out of control
Boys and girls
Go to the school and girls
They make children
Not like this one
I was of a feeling it was out of control
I had the opinion it was out of control
I was of a feeling it was out of control
I had the opinion it was out of control
(Out of control)
(Out of control)
I fought fate
There's blood on the garden gate
The man said childhood
It's in his childhood
One day I'll die
The choice will not be mine
Will it be too late
You can't fight it
I was of a feeling it was out of control
I had the opinion it was out of control
The lyrics to U.S. Crush's song "Out Of Control" convey a sense of melancholy and reflection on the passing of time and the inevitability of growing up. The opening lines, "Monday morning, Eighteen years of dawning, I say how long, You say how long," set the stage for a contemplation of the singer's journey through life and the feeling of time slipping away.
The line "It was one dull morning, Woke the world with bawling, I was so sad, It was so bad" suggests a sense of disappointment and dissatisfaction with the monotony and routine of everyday life. The repetition of the phrase "it was out of control" emphasizes the singer's feeling of being overwhelmed and unable to dictate the course of their life.
The mention of "boys and girls, go to the school and girls, they make children" hints at the societal expectations and pressure to conform to traditional roles and expectations. The line "I fought fate, there's blood on the garden gate, the man said childhood, it's in his childhood" suggests a struggle against the predetermined path set by society and the realization that childhood is a fleeting phase.
The lyrics convey a sense of resignation towards mortality and the unpredictable nature of life. The line "One day I'll die, the choice will not be mine, will it be too late, you can't fight it" encapsulates the inevitability of death and the inability to control its timing or circumstances.
Overall, "Out Of Control" reflects on the fleeting nature of time, the pressures of society, and the acceptance of mortality.
