Here's my breakdown. First just gotta say this is a person. They saw you or your neighbor or whoever is filming at or around 3:55 - stayed still while you crunched right up to the tree.
At 4:25 you peeked back around the tree and their silhouette is visible, its not a neckless creature its a person with a backpack and a poncho or camo over them and the backpack. Doubt its a ghillie suit it doesn't do anything to break up their image or seem to have any visible texture. They see you see them and drop down on one knee. This reduces their overall noticeability, stabilizes them to aim a weapon (what you should be worried about btw) or binoculars. This pattern which they repeat as they move around the rock of dropping down on one knee frequently is interesting and shows they are being very cautious...?
Between 4:31 and 4:35 you see another point of reflection appear lower down and to the left which in my opinion is their knee. Left knee I think. This is apparent to me because of the motion they make when they stand back up, its the fluid movement of coming up from one knee. At 4:47 - 4:49 the rippling or movement seen down low is clearly fabric not fur or skin or something like an animal (or Squatch) would have. Its reminiscent to me of a long slicker.
5:14 - 5:19 you can see the kneeling - or in this case I think squatting - motion again. Under some type of fabric covering. Figure stays motionless for 30 seconds approx. Then comes back up smoothly and stealthily.
6:16 He goes back down. This time you can actually see the square shape of the top of his pack. 6:43 he comes back up again - stands up a lot quicker this time - maybe his knee was cramping. Almost exactly 30 seconds - same as before. While he was down you could actually see his head turn to look around. When he stands up the sqare-ish top of his pack and his head are so visible I wonder if he has taken the 'poncho' off his head somewhere in there.
Around 7:04 you can actually hear him crunching leaves - I bet it is really dry there. But also makes it very apparent that he definitely heard you approach. No doubt about it. Think about how stealthy he is compared to the nonchalant approach of the person filming.
I think around 7:16 or 7:17 he slides down to a squatting or maybe sitting position, he is trying to blend into that rock, doing a good job too. He knows where he last saw the person filming and is trying to get around that rock to obscure himself I think.
If this fella follows his pattern he would have gotten back up and continued the pattern of movement at 7:47. Instead the person watching and filming freaked out and bolted. I doubt the trespasser is a real threat because you would know it. From his vantage point and the seeming lay of the land he would probably have a decent shot at the fleeing person. And I doubt he is not armed.
I think you've got someone here who is aware they may be being watched but is moving away from where they saw you, avoiding conflict that way. My first thoughts is a ginseng hunter who may already have a full pack and just wants to get out without trouble. Whoever it is, its possible he heard the crunch a thon heading his way and ducked down by that rock to get his camo or poncho on. Or something like that - I dont think he would just run around the woods like that unless he is up to no good and knows what he is doing. Hmm. But maybe ginseng hunters are not a big deal where you are.
Someone else here in the comments said that this person is exhibiting military infantry type movement. I would agree. Whoever it is knows what he is doing. I don't think its a homeless person or a random trespasser.
Good luck - I would go back with 2 buddies working in a triangular pattern, all armed and in camo, moving quietly and coordinating movements to flush out whoever may be there and also be able to back each other up if needed. At least see what you can find around that rock, set some cameras, something. Just be careful.

I see a younger man (easy to take a knee and get up and down) wearing an Army Poncho on property that does not belong to him. Moving slow, deliberate, and stealthy. Red flags are flying in my mind in that the guy is up to no good. I am an armed citizen and would have confronted the guy to find out what the heck he is up to and/or get him the hell off my property. This looks like someone with infantry training. When moving, they are slow and deliberate. They take a knee when stopped. Taking a knee minimizes your silhouette and is something that is second nature to infantrymen (at least Marines). It's how you're trained to move in unsafe or unfamiliar areas.

if you watch them, they drop and freeze for 30 seconds each time, then get back up. You can see the kneeling and squatting action through that slicker or poncho they have on. A few times you can clearly see the top of their pack and their head.
I wonder if any of the branches of service teach to stay still for 30 seconds? Or maybe that is a hunting habit. Very interesting

Crouched down three times. Appears to be looking for spore. Stood up to slowly walk away from observer. Moving very deliberate and controled.
Whats strange is that they are not moving as you would expect someone to move who is trying to evade. They are moving away but not looking back as you would expect of someone who is concerned with being watched.
I have tracked animals and humans for varying amounts of time. This way of moveing is not common.

Born and raised in the woods of southern WV and a Marine myself and I agree with your general assessments here more than others I've read here. There is a deliberateness and skill being displayed. I've never seen camo apparel work that well in any environment without some serious effort. I think the individual's intent was to move away but they didn't seem to be greatly concerned in doing so, just extremely cautious in maintaining concealment.

Reminds me if a guy I knew named Sgt. Geiger. He was a Viet Nam era veteran who lived in the woods behind my old office. He was a very nice guy but had traps set up all over the area. I met him at the local store a bunch of times over the years & after a while we shared a 6 pack of Budweiser one Thanksgiving eve. Eventually he let me know how to get near enough to his camp to check in with him. He refused all charity except those first beers but would occasionally "let" me hire him to do some yard & light mechanical work. It turned out he had a few friends who had lived there in his camp from time to time who were also vets. The traps were mostly noise makers to alert him to any intruders but some that were close to his tents were lethal or close to it. They did have some "rogues" as he called them that would try to steal supplies but it for the most part they looked out for each other.

I think there is some science that says the eyes have to move continuously to actually see. (called saccades) It would make sense that stillness and distance combined can make an object hard to see if you (the observer) are not allowed to change your perspective/position and thus limiting depth perception.

Ever hunt deer? I cannot count how many I have watched one (or 3) suddenly stop behind a tree and watch me or something else for an hour. Well NOT, because early on in that hour, like after 2 minutes, it poof, vanished or actually melted into the background and was gone forever. Maybe you could zoom in on the figure, I was a sniper in the military for a few years, now if I was tacking another sniper that's something I might have seen, Binoculars scanning the ground, a figure in a Guilly suit blending into his surroundings slow deliberate movements or "ghost walking" stopping crouching listening and observing. A hunter might be wearing some kind of orange clothing so that he isn't shot by another hunter. Try to find someone who can digitally enhance the footage.

1) Be very careful around that place. The person is clearly trying NOT to be seen for some reason. They should be considered armed and potentially likely to shoot or attack if confronted for any reason. 2) Don't return to that location alone and even then let others know where you are going. Could just be someone trying to be a hermit or recluse and not wanting contact with anyone but in any case don't be going there by yourself and not telling anyone where you are going exactly.

That’s what I was thinking. If it was any type of animal in would think that it would’ve smelled/reacted as soon as they smelled something. Maybe. Maybe not. Then the only other thing I thought was it was a black bear. Kind of likes like it ambled like one as it was going up the left side of of the rock. Happened to me on my private property. I stayed about 50 yards away ( with a 273 ) and calmly asked the persons what they were doing. After hesitation and being ignored by the persons I yelled “I can clearly see y’all trying to hide”, “why are y’all on my land?” Turns out they were trespassing and digging ginseng. He and his friend left after I warned them to get off private property ( while I was holding a 273 and had a G29 .) It was not a fun situation! Be careful, your person may not be so willing to comply. PS The more you tell people like this to stay off private property the more of a challenge it becomes for them to repeat trespassing. It’s all a challenge for them with the hope of getting something they can sale for profit. Good luck 👍

This is a great video! I agree with a lot of the comments on the thinking it's someone who knows what they're doing, and might be hunting either animals or ginseng. When you first seem to encounter him by the rock it does appear like someone has their arms up holding a set of binoculars and that's why you see what looks like two giant eyes.
Then we see this person slowly trying to stay as quiet and hidden as possible until the person filming it leaves.
I am curious as I'm sure others are. Is this actually on your property or just outside your property?
I wonder what would have happened if you shouted out to the person. What if you had said I see you but I don't care, I thought you were a Bigfoot....And then laughed.
I'm guessing that would completely depend on whether they were doing something illegal or not.

I dunno who that is but he’s definitely trained either by himself or militarily. He eased around that rock very slowly and stealthily. You lost him a few times from your sight. Definitely don’t go back out there alone because he knows you’re around now. He would’ve hollered at you if he wasn’t up to something. I’ve seen people in the woods before and just sit very still have had them walk within a few feet of me and never know I was around.

It looked to me like a tall man with a florescent green shimmering camouflage netting to blend with the lighting of the sun on the green leaves It would not fit in over the fall weather with different colored leaves and lighting. Perhaps a homeless man living in the woods and wondered why the cameraman was stalking him, or he left slowly and as quietly as he could from what looked like a huge bolder with tree stumps around it. Hard to see what he was sneaking around there. Perhaps his home. It certainly was a netting he had hanging over his body. I'm not saying it was planned by the cameraman but it was a man walking camouflaged. Perhaps he threw it on once he spotted the cameraman. Perhaps a homeless person or a person growing pot in the woods.

At the 4:28 mark, you can see 3 reflective circles as the camera focuses. Those circles are obviously reflecting light off something metal/plastic/etc or something wet. What it means, I don't know, but may help someone else.

Lots of good feedback here, some of the remarks read like professional trackers. My only comment is, if this person returns it’s doubtful they are a criminal or at least not a fugitive on the run. They know they have been “made” and would be long gone if that were the case. Maybe a poacher? A homeless person living off the land? Seems to possess hunting and/or military skills.

O si-yo. That is a Sabe'. I also saw 2 other ones. Be careful. They are half- way creatures. Hybrids. They call and notify each other with the bird sound. There is a group here in Ozark Mts near Buffalo River. They cross our land and have been for 300 plus years. According to my native Osage/ Cherokee grandparents. Great grandparents planted fruit trees for them on low land near river. I'm 91y old. These creatures have come to edge of woods and listened to me sing and play guitar in evenings. I act like I don't know they R there. I still get heart palpitations and hair standing on arms at times. I always have a weapon near. Stay safe.

A driver I knew that worked with me told this. A friend of his said he saw something big moving around on his land. He called my friend to come help him look. He went, was told no guns . He carried his 5 battery flashlight we carried in our tractors. They went into the woods a way and something jumped out at him. He said he swung the flashlight for all he had, hit the thing in the head. The thing hollered. My friend had been pranked. A buddy of his had an old gorilla suit, the gorilla guy suffered a bad headache. The mask, hood saved his life. Next time no carried flashlights. My friend and buddies had a good laugh after his head cleared. True story. 85 now, no more road trips. 🐻

Definitely travel in numbers next time with some dependable buddies and dogs. A couple blackout trail cams or cell cams to move around if there’s coverage. I’ll usually try to step on solid things or walk toe heel to reduce noise unless I want someone to know we’re flushing them out. Stay safe and carry a stick or boomstick.

I used to follow this one lady on fb who would get all sorts of peeping pics from them and meaner ones. She would laugh about all of the "hunters" never finding any proof. She would tell everyone "You're never going to catch them on camera like that. They're not dumb. When I was a kid living in Boulder Creek, California, my family lived on the creek 1.5 miles from town. After school I fished the creek and walked very slowly half way to town. Sometimes an adult would come out of their house and yell at me to get off their property. If they did I would say OK, then slowly walk downstream, while fishing. If they didn't say anything to me, I just ignored them. I don't find it so strange that a person is walking around (trespassing) in the forest. I did it all the time when I lived in the forest.

I see a cloaked figure, most likely human, shuffling slowly either because of a disability or avoiding making noise. Before he disappears he looks cautiously move his shoulder in you direction. Who knows what he was doing, maybe just resting behind the rock, maybe stashing drugs or contraband, maybe hiding from pursuers. I would want to know his intentions for sure.
