Urban Cone ft Tove Lo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

On the subway home
I lost you in a fever
When did we grow old
Million things we done
We never stopped at nothing
When did we grow old

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

When you gonna
Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

I've been yours for years
And now were back at nothing
When did we grow old
A million ways that I
And only I know you
When did we grow old

When you gonna

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

Please
Won't you take me home
I don't wanna let you go

Please
Wont you take me home
I don't wanna let you go

When you gonna

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

When you gonna
Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

When you gonna

Come
Come
Come back to me
Come back to me again

When you gonna

Come
Come

Come back to me
Come back to me again

Overall Meaning

The song Come Back To Me by Urban Cone ft Tove Lo is a nostalgic yet hopeful love song that talks about the feeling of losing someone important to you and wanting them to come back into your life. The lyrics evoke a sense of regret as well as a longing for the past when things were simpler and more carefree.

The first few lines of the song talk about losing someone on the subway ride back home, perhaps indicating a sense of separation or distance that has crept into the relationship. The line "When did we grow old" further emphasizes this feeling of things changing and becoming more complicated over time. The lines "A million things we done, we never stopped at nothing" give a sense of the countless memories that the couple has shared, but despite that, they still find themselves in a state of limbo, wondering when things will get better.

The chorus of the song acts as a plea from the singer, as they ask the person they have lost to come back to them again. The repetition of "Come back to me" emphasizes the intensity of the desire to reconnect and make things right. The second verse is more introspective, with the singer reflecting on the moments they have shared with the other person and noting the intimacy that only they possess. The song ends on a hopeful note, ringing with the promise of a reunion, despite the setbacks that have been encountered.

I'm here not because of Tove Lo, I'm here because Urban Cone is such a great band, and reading comments when people complain that she's not in the video is so painful. Boys done amazing job on this song. Their whole new album is so awesome, and it's kinda sad that people don't see this because Tove Lo doesnt appearing on music video.

@jessicarohwer3542

Yeah it is kinda sad especially because it's Urban Cone's song FEATURING Tove Lo.
