They were soon joined by Diego Garcia and Viviana Bula, and searched without success for a lead singer until an encounter with an old friend of Alejo's occurred. Maika Ceres, an already well-established vocalist with experience performing at the country’s most important venues, agreed to join the group. With her, drummer Gaston Lorenzo joined the band, completing its current formation.
Upon completion of the group’s members, the project decided on the name VATIKA, alluding to the legend of the Etruscan Goddess of the Underworld. During the same year, they composed their debut album. In October all voice recordings were complete, just days before the vocalist moved to Germany. In Uruguay, the band continued the process of recording and production with the renowned Daniel Anselmi.
After a year and a half of hard work and high expectations, the self-titled album was launched in June 2014. Even with challenging long distances between group members, VATIKA is getting ready to begin the composition of a second album with international reach.
