VINILOVERSUS Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
a quedarte ciego
si te alumbran demasiado
morirás encandilado
y eso no es lo que querías
no lo merecías
en esta vida tan corta
la visión es lo que importa
una vez mas
la caida ehh ehhh ehhhh
caes como un yunque sobre mi cabeza
como duele como pesa
es como caer en cámara lenta
sabes lo que viene
nada lo detiene (2x)
The lyrics to VINILOVERSUS's song Yunque convey a sense of warning against being blinded by something that may seem appealing, but can ultimately lead to harm. The first verse urges the listener not to let their fear hold them back from seeing clearly, cautioning that being too dazzled by something can lead to a blinding death. The lyrics suggest that the desire for something can cloud judgment and lead to undeserved consequences—reinforcing the idea that risking it all for something that ends up being detrimental is not worth it.
The chorus uses the metaphor of a falling anvil (yunque) to depict the emotional weight and pain that can come with taking such risks. The falling anvil is a clear image of something heavy and uncontrollable. The pain that comes with risking it all and falling hard is depicted through lines like "caes como un yunque sobre mi cabeza" (you fall like an anvil on my head), "como duele como pesa" (how it hurts, how it weighs), and "es como caer en cámara lenta" (it's like falling in slow motion). The final line, "sabes lo que viene, nada lo detiene" (you know what's coming, nothing can stop it), serves to reinforce the idea that recklessness often has a predictable and unstoppable end.
Overall, Yunque tells a story about the painful consequences of recklessness and the importance of clear vision.
