Donde estas?, donde estas?,
La vida pasa y tú no estas
Pero mi corazón te vuelve a buscar
Valeria:
Ambos:
Fue duro aquel final y no te pude olvidar
Tu recuerdo ahora me ilumina y me hace pensar
Tu recuerdo ahora, me ilumina,
Y me hace pensar,
The lyrics of Valeria Lynch's song "Hay un Mañana" tell the story of two individuals, José and Valeria, who are longing for each other. José is searching for Valeria, asking where she is, while Valeria responds that she is here, waiting in vain for him. They both acknowledge that their love came to a difficult end, but they can't forget each other. Their memories continue to illuminate their lives and make them believe that there is a future they can change together, a chance to recover the love they once had.
José wonders what happened that made them drift apart, how silence drove them away and how the night engulfed them without saying goodbye. Valeria, however, declares that enough is enough, that she is still here and wants José to come and take her hand, to let her be his happiness.
Together, they recognize the pain of their past and their inability to forget each other. Valeria's memory still shines light on their lives and makes them think that there is a tomorrow they can change, a chance to reclaim the love that remains dormant within them. The lyrics ultimately highlight their hope for a reunion and a second chance at love.
