She's Alive
Van Canto Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
‘Something's wrong' and
as soon as these words are
intruding my mind I do know:
It is her who's betrayed.
By her consciousness
starting to fade.
needed to know.
She's the only one.
Fear starts to grow.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
creation bringing time.
She's alive.
And she knows inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
and joyful singing time.
She's alive.
And I know inside.
My life speed starts slowing down.
All of my future plans mistrusted.
And as I'm standing here
I start to drown.
(It's) not up to me anymore.
I know I need her more than ever before.
She's struggling against hands of darkness reaching out.
The more time is fading the less I will doubt.
A woman like her is built to return.
As she's regaining I cry out for her.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
creation bringing time.
She's alive.
And she knows inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
and joyful singing time.
She's alive.
And I know inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
creation bringing time.
She's alive.
And she knows inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
and joyful singing time.
She's alive.
And I know inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
creation bringing time.
She's alive.
And she knows inside.
She's alive,
She's alive.
What a wonderful
and joyful singing time.
She's alive.
And I know inside.
In Van Canto's song "She's Alive," the lyrics describe a situation where the singer receives word that something is wrong with someone close to them. The singer realizes that it is the person that they love who has betrayed them as her consciousness began to fade. The singer then becomes afraid as this person is the only one that matters to them. Despite this, they believe in this person's ability to come back and regain their strength as they struggle against the hands of darkness reaching out to them. The chorus repeatedly emphasizes the wonder of creation and the joy of being alive, hinting at the hope that the singer still holds for their loved one.
The lyrics suggest a sense of despair and hopelessness on the part of the singer as they struggle to come to terms with the betrayal of someone they care deeply for. The singer's fears about their future plans and the realization that they may lose the person they love, make the lyrics very emotional and powerful. Even as the singer believes in this person's ability to come back, there is a sense of impending doom, suggesting that the outcome may not be entirely positive. The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the importance of being alive and the hope that the singer holds.

This song is so wonderful, and I don't understand why people hate this album, and they judge you guys because of that one album!!!! Personally, I think this is my favorite album, and all my other favorites are from other albums. I mean, I understand not liking someone's album, but they're judging all of your content based off this album! I just wish someone had told them that there's so much more!!! Keep up the good work!
