Went through several names, including Kill the Arcade and Wolf Am I until settling on Brother in late 2010. In June 2011, the band changed their name to Viva Brother after legal action was taken by another band called Brother. They released their debut album "Famous First Words" on August 1, 2011.

Viva Brother were an English pop-rock band from Slough. Previously known as Brother, they were signed to major global record label Geffen Records in October 2010 and to EMI Publishing in November 2010. Their debut album, Famous First Words, was released on August 1, 2011. The album's first single "Darling Buds of May" received some airplay on alternative rock radio stations in United States.

The band was reported to have split on April1, 2012, and it was confirmed the following day.
