The meaning of this life
Haven't you heard?
It makes a fool
Right out of you
I took the long illuminated
Walk across the light and
And that's all that I can do
And I sing
Oh follow me home
You've got the highest hopes
That I have ever known
And rightfully so
And as we're spinning around
You let your feet leave the ground
Losing your mind
For the first time
Knowing it won't be your last
Taking a fall
You won't remember at all
Electric daydream
Look what you've done
Spread the word I've got
The meaning of this life
Haven't you heard?
It makes a fool
Right out of me
I saw the long illuminated
View across the light and
Dark side of the moon
And that's all I can do
And I sing
Oh follow me home
You've got the highest hopes
That I have ever known
And rightfully so
And as we're spinning around
You let your feet leave the ground
Losing your mind
For the first time
Knowing it won't be your last
Taking a fall
You won't remember at all
Electric daydream
Look what you've done
Losing your mind
For the first time
Knowing it won't be your last
Taking a fall
You won't remember at all
Electric daydream
Look what you've done
Losing your mind
For the first time
Knowing it won't be your last
Taking a fall
You won't remember at all
Electric daydream

The opening lines of 'Electric Daydream' by Viva Brother hints at the singer having discovered the 'meaning of life'. Though he implores the listeners to spread the word of his discovery, he also cautions that it makes a fool out of anyone who aspires towards it. The lines "I took the long illuminated walk across the light and dark side of your heart" reveal the singer's metaphorical journey of discovering the meaning of life. He has seen both the good and bad in people, a journey which has led him to understand that pursuit of the meaning of life is not all glamorous.
The chorus of the song is a plea to someone the singer cares for to have faith in him and his journey. He believes that it is the highest hope any person can have, and commits to leading them home. The line "You let your feet leave the ground" could be interpreted as the listener letting go of their doubts and surrendering to the journey towards self-discovery. The phrase "losing your mind for the first time" suggests that this journey will be a wild ride but also one that the listener will not regret.
The phrase "electric daydream" seems to describe a type of life-altering experience that comes with the discovery of the meaning of life. The song speaks to the power of allowing oneself to dream and having the courage to pursue those dreams. The singer acknowledges the risks involved in pursuing one's dreams but also highlights the rewards. Overall, the song is a call to action, urging listeners to take that first step in finding the meaning of their existence.
