From the very start, it's paradoxical that the foundation of having freedom of religion

So what does real change feel like
What does genuine change truly feel like?

If this is it here
If what we currently have is the extent of it

Then it doesn't feel just or satisfactory

And what's all this police brutality for
What purpose does this police brutality serve?

And why are we always the casualties of war
And why are we continually the victims in times of conflict?

Can't afford to be ignored anymore
We cannot tolerate being disregarded any longer

The time is now to settle the score
The present moment is the opportune time to address the injustices

Cause we've been waiting and waiting can only be so patient
We've been waiting for far too long and our patience has limits

It's ours for the taking
We have the ability and right to seize change for ourselves

Searching for freedom
In pursuit of liberty

Craving a little taste saying it in my own way
Desiring a small glimpse of freedom, expressing it in my unique manner

I just need a little shade
All I require is a bit of respite

No real plan for economic stability
There is no substantial strategy for achieving economic stability

Burned Black Wall Street down to ashes mainstream media concealed it in front of masses
The mainstream media obscured the destruction of Black Wall Street from the general public

Never taught in classes
It's never taught in educational institutions

Don't make the curriculum
It's not included in the curriculum

Historical facts are kept to bare minimum
Historical facts related to this are deliberately minimized

Kick us to the curb when we need the help but don't really wanna see us feeding ourselves
They neglect us when we need assistance but refuse to acknowledge our ability to provide for ourselves

Empowerment to the individuals, empowerment to the individuals

Keep flying like eagles though we're surrounded by evil
We must continue soaring like eagles, even when evil surrounds us

Call a spade a spade
To speak bluntly or honestly about a situation or issue

The ideology of white superiority

Can't trump out clearly calling out the enemy
We cannot shy away from explicitly identifying and denouncing the enemy
