Frontman Raymond "Raybeez" Barbieri was the band's only consistent member through the vast majority of its years. He joined the band as the drummer in 1983 (the same year he played drums on the debut Agnostic Front 7" EP United Blood), later taking over vocal duties after Warzone had already been in existence for two years (noting later, "in a band that [had] been running for so long, there has to be something there"). Raybeez remained the singer of Warzone until his death on September 11, 1997 due to pneumonia. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was receiving treatment in a VHA facility when the illness damaged his liver and took his life at the age of 35. A tribute sign reading "R.I.P Ray" hung outside CBGB for some time following his death, and for more than a year afterward, every release on Victory Records was dedicated to his memory, as were two independent compilations. These albums, as well as benefit concerts, raised funds for several non-profit groups Ray had worked for which helped at-risk youth."
JUDGEMENT DAY
Warzone Lyrics

All your ignorance, it will destroy you
Everything you do, everything you say
Step on everyone just to get your way
I've seen this, it's happened before
Now I'm too strong, you're gonna fall
All your lies, all my pain
I've had it with everyone's lies
Always trying to tear out my insides
Need to put me down to bring yourself up
Man, that's so fucked up
In all your hate, you're going down
But I'm growing up
Need to put me down to bring yourself up
Man, you're so fucked
I've seen this, it's happened before
Now I'm too strong, you're gonna fall
All your lies - all my pain
Will come back to you on the judgment day
The Warzone song "Judgment Day" is about the consequences of one's actions and how they can come back to haunt them. The singer of the song predicts that the day will come when those who have been ignorant and stepped on others to get their way will face the consequences of their actions. The lyrics suggest that the singer has personally experienced this type of behavior before and has grown stronger as a result.
The song continues with the singer expressing frustration with those who have lied and attempted to tear them down in order to elevate themselves. Despite the hate and attempts to bring the singer down, they remain determined to rise above it all. The chorus repeats the prediction of impending reckoning and retribution on judgment day.
Overall, the song is a powerful reminder to listeners that actions have consequences and that kindness and understanding are more valuable than selfishness and deceit.
