I’m here after reading an article that mentions this book. Glad to be able to listen a little more and hear the professor. I will be buying the book.

Absolutely fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Clever (girl) bees indeed!

First comment! Truly a beautifully presented example of how to do science communication. And not to mention the amazing research that is presented! Turns out bees are pretty clever fellas :)

@madeaman8446

great overview! here's my question: I have a penstemon in my backyard which has several stalks. Each stalk has 15 - 20 blossoms. I watched a bee (not a honeybee) approach the blossoms and landed on some and not on others. Is a bee able to discern or sense which blossom will generate a reward and which blossom won't? Of course, being able to only land on good blossoms and not on bad blossoms would really help efficiency in gathering pollen/nectar.

@tinedevroye9634

i guess they use senses like Smell (smelling nectar) and guess the answer must bee somewhere in side the book))

@RobertCMize

It occurred to me that if Consciousness is externial instead of internal then the honey bee should should have an interface similar to the one that humans have, and all other sentient animals have. Go find it kids!
