I'm Sorry
We One Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know love could so cruel

You tell me mistakes
Are part being young,
But that doesn't right
The wrong that's been done
I'm sorry, so sorry
Please accept my apology,

But love is blind
And I was too blind to see

Overall Meaning

The song "I'm Sorry" by We One is a melancholic and apologetic piece that puts into words the feeling of regret for failing to recognize the value of love. The first verse starts with the singer admitting his foolishness and how he was unaware of the possibility of love being cruel. This indicates that he had taken it for granted and now acknowledges the error of his ways. In the next lines, he tries to defend himself by claiming to be young and prone to making mistakes, but in reality, that cannot undo what has happened.

The chorus, "I'm sorry, so sorry, please accept my apology" is an emotional plea to make things right with the person he's apologizing to. The singer acknowledges his faults and hopes that he can be forgiven for them. However, in the next line, he acknowledges that his love was blind, and he was not able to see the reality of the situation. This line suggests that the singer was not paying enough attention to his lover's feelings and that he was selfish in his approach.

Overall, the song "I'm Sorry" by We One is an emotional journey that highlights the importance of recognizing the value of love and understanding its complexity. It teaches the listener to pay heed to their loved ones and not take them for granted. The song's melancholic melody and heartfelt lyrics evoke a sense of longing and sadness, leaving the listener with a lasting impression.

[Verse 1: Darryl & Kenny]
Everybody needs a little time away
I heard her say, from each other
Even lovers need a holiday
Far away from each other

[Chorus 1: Marc]
Hold me now, it's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay
And after all that you've been through
I will make it up to you, I promise you, baby
And after all that's been said and done
You're just a part of me I can't let go

[Verse 2: Shawn]
Couldn't stand to be kept away
Not for a day, from your body
Wouldn't want to be swept away
Far away from the one that I love

[Chorus: Kenny, Peter Cetera & Marc]
Hold me now, it's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to know
Hold me now, I really want to tell you I'm sorry
I could never let you go
And after all that we've been through
I will make it up to you, I promise you
And after all that's been said and done
You're just a part of me I can't let go

[Outro: Marc]
I can't let go

I'll probably be the first one to point out that they are using a microphone stand idea that was originated by The Temptations. The Temptations were known for their custom "Four Headed Microphone Stand". In this case they have a 5 person microphone stand.

@gcinaphakamilemakoba5047

so what is wrong with copying what is good ?

And your point being

@deannederhoff

Desmond Dennis I dont think he was meaning anything wrong or disrespect in anyway.i didn't take it that way.the title was misleading though because I didn't see or hear Peter Cetera at all.but they did an awesome cover job
Peter Cetera and Chicago would be proud.
They did am awesome job.they put their own twist on it but they didn't do a butcher hack job like some do.it was neat to see the Mic stand thing like he said but also their movements like the temptations, the chi lites and so many othe male bands from the late 60s and 70s.lol brought back memories of some good ole groups

@deannederhoff
