Waar Is De Tijd
Wendy Van Wanten Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of Wendy Van Wanten's song Waar Is De Tijd reflect upon the nostalgia that the artist feels for an era in the past where love was pure, innocent and the world was filled with greenery as opposed to concrete. The feelings of longing and yearning are very evident in the lyrics as Van Wanten laments the absence of tenderness, romance and genuine affection in today's era where materialism reigns supreme. The imagery in the lyrics is vivid as the artist contrasts the present with the past, where silence and nature were more prevalent, and books and TV were the only sources of romance.
