Wendy Van Wanten Lyrics

Said "Don't think about it, you can go crazy
Anything can happen, anything can end
Don't try to fight it, don't try to save me"
[Chorus]
She's a woman in love
And he's gonna break her heart to pieces
She's a woman in love, but it's not me
Well alright, do what you want
Don't try to talk, don't say nothin'
She used to be the kind of woman
You have and you hold, she could understand the problem
She let the little things go
[Chorus]
Time after time, night after night
She would look up at me
And say she was lonely
I don't understand the world today
I don't understand what she needed
I gave her everything she threw it all away
On nothin'
She's a woman in love
The lyrics to Wendy Van Wanten's song "Woman in Love" depict a heartbreaking situation where the singer's partner has fallen in love with someone else. The singer's partner has left them, and instead of trying to fight for their relationship, the partner tells the singer not to "go crazy" and to accept that "anything can happen" and "anything can end." The chorus reiterates that the partner is a "woman in love," but with someone who will "break her heart to pieces." Despite acknowledging that the situation is not ideal, the singer gives the partner permission to do what she wants and doesn't try to stop her from leaving.
The lyrics convey a sense of sadness, resignation, and acceptance. The singer has lost someone they loved, but they understand that they cannot force someone to stay with them if their heart is elsewhere. The partner's choice to leave has left the singer feeling confused and hurt, but they ultimately respect her decision. The repetition of the phrase "she's a woman in love" underscores the idea that love can be a powerful force that can lead people to make difficult choices.
