It's A Love Thing
Whispers (The) Lyrics

It's a love thing
It's a love thing, thing
The look in your eyes
Is more than enough
To make my poor heart
Burst into flames
Knew from the moment we met
That there was no doubt
That my life would never be the same
I could never hide the feelings
That come over me
When you're near me
I know that's how it's suppose to be
My heart keeps telling me
It's a love thing, yeah
Got me talkin in my sleep
About the love we made
It's a love thing
It's a love thing
Love thing, yeah
Such a feeling I get
Whenever we touch
Girl like no other
I felt before
It's still so new and yet
I need you so much
Got to make you mine
Forever more
You're the kinda woman
That can turn my world around
Cause you show me what
A selfish love is all about
Without a doubt
It's a love thing
I feel that pounding in my heart
When you call my name
It's a love thing
It's a love thing
Love thing, thing
It's a love thing
Every time that you're near
It becomes so clear
It's a love thing
It's a love thing
Love thing, yeah

Admit it, this is one of those "bonus" songs that bring a smile to your face, especially when you're searching for something on the radio and are lucky enough to catch this terrific groove!

This song brings me back to when my mom would open all the windows and blast this type of music as she cleaned the whole house in an oversized shirt and biker shorts. I’m crying. 😭💕

That falsetto leading up to the chorus is spine-tinglingly awesome! Such a great groove on this song!

The percussion and bass on this track is SICKKKK. This song was NEVER in danger of being forgotten the way it was arranged. The hooks and vox arrangements are another gem. This is what happens when you let different professionals get their hands on a song, and not try to hog up all the royalties yourself. The old songs had 5 to 6 mixdown people add things before it was finished. Gave the finished product more depth. Now the artist wants to do everything themself. But the end result isn't as good

It's so hard to believe this song is already 43 years old. I was 14-years-old when this came out!

My father was an early 60's child and listened to this kind of music all the time throughout his youth. I was born in 1994 and grew up listening to his music and I was like his little fan, watching and hear him sing along and rhyming to the tune. It's a time I will never forget and I am happy that I was able to be brought up listening to this great music.
