I've Got You on My Mind
White Plains Lyrics

I've got you on my mind
They say that lovers are blind
And it could be true
Since I met you
Plus the world has been
A much much better place
And the sun shines through
When I look at you
Girl it's true
What a wonderful way, to be,
Something about makes me about to know
Something to do makes us feel and go
Having you near is sensational magic
I love it
Oh can't you see
I've got you on my mind
They say that lovers are blind
But I just don't care
If you are there
By my side
What a wonderful way, to be,
Something about makes me about to know
Something to do makes us feel and go
Having you near is sensational magic
I love it
Oh can't you see
I've got you on my mind
They say that lovers are blind
And it could be true
Since I met you
Plus the world has been
A much much better place
There's a smile on every face
And the sun shines through
When I look at you .. girl
Oh can't you see
I've got you on my mind
In the song "I've Got You on My Mind" by White Plains, the singer expresses how much he loves the woman he is with. The lyrics suggest that he is deeply infatuated with her, as he says "I've got you on my mind" and "The world has been a much better place" since he met her. According to him, every time he looks at her, the Sun shines through and she has brought a new smile to the world. He says that the lovers are blind and it might be true, but he doesn't care as long as she's by his side.
The chorus of the song expresses the singer's unconditional love and desire for his woman. He is so obsessed with her that he believes having her around is "sensational magic." He is at a loss for words when he describes his emotions for her, but he states that he loves everything about her.
Overall, this song showcases the beauty of true love and the impact it can have on someone's life. It also emphasizes the importance of having someone special in your life.

White Plains were responsible for one of the most poignant, sad, ironic and meaningful songs of all time, the grossly underrated: 'When you are a King'.

My dad passed away in 1992 I was only 10, its took me until now to go through his vinyls and find this brilliant track that I hadn't heard since and had forgotten about. Totally brought that time flooding back

Love this recording of this song. Perfection! So much better than the other version I’ve heard. And the photos of Honor Blackman, what a beauty she was!

Amazing song. Unfortunately it was never released in the US, so I only heard it recently. Cook and Greenaway are great songwriters.
