As a European I just love how "some American actor" can go ahead and create this without making it look like he's just making fun of us. He approached this with so much respect and wanting to do it right that he got full cooperation from Eurovision and several artists, and nailed it :)

Im a misplaced european, US army guy who fell in love with Germany in the 1980s. I should have moved, But God love our fetish for Euro-culture. God- i was so scared when i first went over, took me several years to appreciate it- too late. HUGE HUGE regret. I love my country, my family... but damn,,, Europe is SO FUCKING INVITING. For so many reasons...
A colleague of mine, 25 years later- he practically defected- forced a discharge from the Army in Germany to marry his wife.
If I could do it over, I might just have stayed in the Army stationed in Germany.
I'm a euro-mutt, the Germans have always been the absolute nicest people to me...
We americans may poke fun, but we truly adore so many continental values...

this might be my absolute favorite movie for two reasons. 1. Rachel McAdams acting in this is INCREDIBLE. she really got into character and there wasn’t a second where i couldn’t imagine her as Sigrid. and 2. there really were no villains in this movie. It’s such a massive difference from the movies that came out around the same time, where you can’t trust anyone. Even the main villain, who tries to murder Lars, is only doing it out of the love and respect he has for his own country. He tries to talk everyone out of participating in the contest to avoid economic collapse, and then does the one thing he believes could help the country abstain from ruin. It’s just an overall great movie but those two are the biggest reasons, at least in my opinion, it stands out so much.

This scene makes you laughed out loud but then you will realise later on that their determination and passion is intense. When she walked in to the room bruised and battered up, I got teary eyes. This is a funny movie that gives a serious lessons in life.

I love Will Ferrell, I do.
I love this man.
I am happy he exists, his comedies are gold and just ahead of their times.
He makes art into comedy and comedy into art- I know the songs made for this movie are exaggerated and purposely funny, but I still find them wonderful and inspiring and I listen to them- because like the characters they are made for and sung by, I find the lyrics too beautiful.

What I like so much about this is that they aren’t a group that sounds bad. They are literally freaking amazing and you are constantly rooting for them because they are SO GOOD

One of my favorite things about them is Sigrit’s innocence and just how much she adores Lars and that she really loves Fire Saga.
We better get a sequel.

I think the characters weren't bad artists in the movie either, especially Sigrid, but also Lars, who was the creator of this song. They were both great artists in the movie, but Lars' obsession kept getting in the way of them showing their best.
I love the fact that we can all relate to this - in real life wanting something that little bit too badly is also very often counterproductive

I keep getting goose bumps everytime I listen to this great song. I need Will Farrell 's silver vest from the movie to keep me warm right now. 😁. This movie will hit all of the right notes if you miss the 1970's. ABBA references, some of the clothing, etc. What a fun, romantic story line. Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams we're seriously perfect together for this film.

I went in this movie thinking i would turn it back off half way. But i legit loved it actually. Funny, lovely and a warm movie with some really catchy songs. I would recommend watching it if you havent allready. Would surprise a lot of people

Became on of my faves movies for the all time.
I start watching it as a joke but it is incredible.
Music,decors,comedy,tragedy all in one.
