Jan. 1, 1958) are a husband and wife duo based out of Washington State who specialize in music of the sea. Combining Pint's early rock n roll influences and Dale's love and knowledge of the sea ( her father was a sea captain), they have crafted a unique sound that, while traditional, shows the influences of the modern world. Capable on both guitar and mandola, Pint can drive a song along, while Dale plays off of his riffs on the hurdy-gurdy. Both are capable vocalists and are energetic performers live. They have eight recordings available as a duo and William Pint has one solo recording to date. Their website is http://www.pintndale.com/

It was a lover and his lass,
With a hey, and a ho, and a hey nonino
That o'er the green cornfields did pass.
In spring time, the only pretty ring time,
When birds do sing, hey ding a ding a ding;
Sweet lovers love the spring.
This carol they began that hour,
With a hey, and a ho, and a hey nonino,
How that a life was but a flower
In spring time, the only pretty ring time,
When birds do sing, hey ding a ding a ding;
Sweet lovers love the spring.
Then, pretty lovers, take the time
With a hey, and a ho, and a hey nonino,
For love is crownéd with the prime
In spring time, the only pretty ring time,
When birds do sing, hey ding a ding a ding;
Sweet lovers love the spring.

Despite being eight months into the war against Germany, a terrific swing version of this was recorded in London for HMV Records on April 24, 1940. The lead vocalist was Al Bowlly ('the British Bing Crosby'). He was accompanied by Ken "Snakehips" Johnson and His West Indian Orchestra. The secondary vocalists were The Henderson Twins. In the same session they
recorded Blow, Blow, Thy Winter Wind. Bowlly was killed in the blitz on April 17, 1941.

That's a great old recording--it's different music, not an arrangement, but the same text. Worth a listen on those old ribbon mics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43v1ZlFBtk8
