Bluebird
Wings & ポール・マッカートニー Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Yesterday
I tried to find my love
But she weren't round
Nowhere to be found
But it's all okay
I got something else
To call my name
You should hear my bluebird sing
The sweetest song I've ever heard
Comes from my bluebird
So let echo ring
On the sound that she brings
Yesterday
I tried to see my love
But she was so down
Eyes stuck on the ground
But it's all alright
I got something else
To light up my night
You should see my bluebird fly

The sweetest sight I've ever seen
When my bluebird spreads her wings

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Wings & ポール・マッカートニー's song Bluebird are a representation of the power and beauty of love. Late at night, when the world is quiet, the bluebird comes flying through the door, representing the arrival of love. The bluebird is a symbol of hope, renewal, happiness, and love.

The bluebird promises to touch the lips of the one he loves with a magical kiss that will transform them into a bluebird and enable them to feel and understand the depth and wonder of love. The bluebird sees love as a force of nature, something that comes and goes like the wind, and once it arrives, it changes everything.

The chorus of the song is repetitive, with the bluebird proclaiming that he is indeed a bluebird, emphasizing his identity as a symbol of love, and urging his partner to become one too, rendering the two of them intertwined in a beautiful, magical love story.

Overall, the song is about the experience of love as a force of nature, one that can be transformative, beautiful, and life-changing if allowed to run its course.

This video, without a doubt, shows how beautifully Linda’s harmony vocals enhanced “Bluebird.” No offense to Paul and the other guys, but her voice really kicked this song up a notch, no doubt about it.

@TracyLynn Edgar, the public rarely tolerates singing that's totally raw.

@TracyLynn Edgar I thought that! Out of synch.. What cheats..

It was all overdubs. When Rockshow which this is from, was going to be released and the record, they went into the studio and cleaned things up. It’s still Lovely but it isn’t raw.

Marissa Valiquette

@Mark Dylan True. Although I have to admit, he's very talented - in fact much more so than Paul!

It's not Paul, it's Billy Shepherd.

@Catherine McDearmon I wasn't the original guy but it doesn't matter. On reflection I think you made a lot of sense - Enjoy what you have in front of you and good for you Catherine for saying so. Very well expressed!
