china girl
Winter Lyrics

Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl

I could escape this feeling, with my China girl
I feel a wreck without my, little China girl
I hear her heart beating, loud as thunder
Saw they stars crashing
I'm a mess without my, little China girl
Wake up mornings where's my, little China girl
I hear her heart's beating, loud as thunder
Saw they stars crashing down
I feel a-tragic like I'm Marlon Brando
When I look at my China girl
I could pretend that nothing really meant too much
When I look at my China girl
I stumble into town just like a sacred cow
Visions of swastikas in my head
Plans for everyone
It's in the whites of my eyes
My little China girl
You shouldn't mess with me
I'll ruin everything you are
You know, I'll give you television
I'll give you eyes of blue
I'll give you men's who want to rule the world
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says
She says
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says

Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl

Oh, oh, oh, little China girl

Overall Meaning

The song "China Girl" by Winter is a song about a man who feels lost without his beloved "little China girl." He is unable to escape this feeling of emptiness without her by his side. He describes her heart beating loud as thunder and visions of stars crashing, indicating that she is the only thing that can keep him grounded and centered. The man knows that he is a mess without her and wakes up every morning looking for her. He compares himself to the tragic figure of Marlon Brando, indicating that he feels lost and isolated without his China girl.

The lyrics then take a darker turn, as the singer describes visions of swastikas in his head and plans for everyone. This alludes to the idea that the man is potentially a danger to himself and others. He warns his China girl not to mess with him, saying that he'll ruin everything she is. However, he also offers her the world, promising to give her television, eyes of blue, and men who want to rule the world. When he gets excited, his little China girl tells him to shut his mouth, indicating that she is the only one who can calm him down.

Overall, "China Girl" is a complex song about the human need for companionship and the darker aspects of the human psyche. It portrays a man who is lost without his partner and potentially dangerous to others.

The event that burned all history books in China's Cultural Revolution was because Chinese history was subordinated to Korea.

Kimchi is a Korean traditional food. All Koreans cannot live without kimchi. But Chinese people can live without kimchi.

The seasoning systems in Korea and China are completely different. :)

China has to try developing their own culture not trying that steal other nation's thing.

Taiwan No.1. Taiwan will be taking the whole south land of China soon.

@Olivia Thank you for letting me know that you use a translator, now I understand that maybe a better version of your point got lost in translation.

First, I'll address the fact that a pickle is a pickle. You can add more sugar, but that doesn't mean a sweet pickle is no longer a pickle. They are both pao cai/kimchi. I thought that we were trying to realize that kimchi is a term for pickles and fermented foods, same as pao cai being a term for pickles and fermented foods. Red pepper paste kimchi are more the fermented type rather than a pickle. But dongchimi is a pickle. The point here is that kimchi and pao cai are terms used similarly in both countries. They used the same way to describe the same things.

Related to that, you were trying to say pao cai in China isn't similar to kimchi in Korea, but based strictly on how the terms are used, they are the same in both countries, used to describe pickles and pao cai. That's why spicy napa kimchi is called pao cai in China. It fits the term.

As for when you said I found a recipe for China, that would be true. It's the traditional recipe of Yanbian province by the people who came from Goguryeo when they relocated on multiple occasions into China's territory. Either most of them came to China to escape Silla conflicts. Or Silla pushed them out of what was previously a portion of old Goguryeo to settle on the land after kicking out the original inhabiters. Yanbian makes a lot of kimchi too. I’m sure every family of Yanbian always make sure to make kimchi often.

And since Yanbian are recognized as a significant ethnicity in China, they are welcomed to be represented in the Olympics. That means they can show their culture. Which is similar to Korea's. That's just how it is. But they are still Chinese. The fact is, China has a lot of ethnicities who all have different sub-cultures in their area. We even have a Russian minority, for example. Would Korea prefer that China ignore Yanbian people instead? Wouldn’t that give you something else to criticize? I bet you’d like that. More reason to play victim.

You want to talk about speed skating? I've seen plenty of videos where the Korean athletes cheat. It's almost like they plan out how they want to cheat this time. There was a video where the Korean skater tried to put their skate blade in the face of a French athlete. Another time, a Korean shoved another skater beside them to make them fall.

I heard once that one Korean team member will purposefully be the last skater so they can get in the leader’s way when they come around the track, by skating in the inner track. The leading skater shoved that Korean out of the way for clearly cheating in the game. It's crazy.

I've seen a Korean hockey player try to injure the opposing team and ended up snapping their hockey stick. Then the teams had a fight because it was clearly foul play by the Koreans. Too much audacity. They really have strategic discussions and never forget to talk about how they want to cheat this time. Listen, I don't want to have any hard feelings towards Koreans. But defending this dishonorable behavior makes it difficult to move on.

You can say they work hard to play dirty.

Anyway, I did my best to write this reply so that the online translator works better.

Olivia

@Majesticool Muffin It is also true that dongchimi is a type of pickle. But it tastes different. Pickles are more sour, and dongchimi is sweeter and sour than pickles. How can these be viewed as the same?

Pao Chai and Kimchi are completely different foods. Therefore, it should be called kimchi, not Korean paochai. I don't know what you've seen, but I think you've looked up how to make kimchi in your country. It is different from kimchi made in Korea and kimchi made abroad. In Korea, people usually start making kimchi at their grandmother's house from July to August. Vegetable pickled foods eat vegetables pickled in salt or vinegar, while Korean-made kimchi is primarily pickled with raw vegetables such as cabbage and radish, and then seasoned with various vegetables such as red pepper powder, green onions, garlic, and ginger as ingredients. Why don't you call all the vegetables in the world Chinese?

It has nothing to do with this, but it was ridiculous to see him wearing hanbok and handing over the Chinese flag at the Beijing Olympics. Were you that jealous of Korea? In China, it seems that they educate them to take away others' things. And the scene of playing yut and playing ganggangsullae were shown on a large screen. I turned off the TV because I was disgusted to see him disqualified even though he was doing short track speed skating. If you do that, you will be ignored among countries.(Already being ignored a lot..) This is no joke, and the players have been preparing for four years, and this was too much. (Applause to all the players who worked hard!!)

Anyway, kimchi is kimchi, and Pao chai is Pao chai

泡菜(파오차이)는 김치가 아닙니다.
김치를 가리키는 별도의 한자어 또는 중국말은 없습니다. 당연합니다. 김치는 중국의 것이 아니기 때문입니다.

https://n.news.naver.com/article/023/0003589252

Before Chinese people started to import Kimchi, many Chinese people didn't know about paochai and it wasn't popular in China. but After they import Kimchi and it became poplular, they started to say it is one of a paochai food.

Also,in 2014, when xi jin ping came to Korea,he said
'my wife like KIMCHI and tried to make it before.'
If it is chinese food, why he say about Kimchi to Korea's president?
If I'm XiJinPing and it is chinese food. I'd say 'it's chinese food. plz let Koreans know it.'

Plus,If it is chinese food, they had to say Protested to Koreans about why Korea is promothing Korean culture including Kimchi. But they didn't said nothing before.

If you try to make kimchi with watching this video, you can't make it and
you'll never be able to make kimchi soup because everything is wrong.
No one can make the kimchi soup with the kimchi that was be made by yesterday&we can't make kimchi with that kind of salt.
Last,If you believe kimchi is paochai because it is salted,
if chinese say "Pickle is Paochai!",you have to accept it.

PLZ don't belive this.

Fact : Kimchi is Korea's traditional food

People who didn't even care about food and culture in Korea, which was a country that couldn't live until the 1960s and 1970s (it was a country where they couldn't live more than developing countries with low capital now), became popular and the country became a little stronger, so now they argue that they are their own. It's possible.

Can't you get angry? People who have turned away from all of our culture and food (such as China or Japan) are now insisting that they will lose. It's as if it was from the beginning that you can't get away unless you're angry. Please know, please.

"The Difference between Kimchi and Pao".

First, kimchi contains secondary seasoning, while paochai does not. Kimchi is pickled once and then mixed with the seasoning again. The Korean food culture of enjoying bibimbap is also embedded in the kimchi seasoning recipe.

Second, Koreans eat all the kimchi soup, but Chinese people don't eat soup when they eat paochai. Kimchi such as nabak kimchi and dongchimi, which are eaten for the taste of soup, is not available in China. Pao Chai is more of a pickle than kimchi, and it is similar to pickles among our foods.

Finally, the thoughts of Koreans and Chinese on fermentation are contradictory. Kimchi is a food that keeps changing its taste during fermentation. Ripe kimchi is a food that can be tasted only when kimchi is aged for a long time. Unlike Koreans who enjoy the taste of ripe kimchi, Pao Chai in China is a simple pickled food.

But napa cabbage is from China. Lol.

The history of Chinese Paocai can be traced back to the ancient "Book of Songs", which has been recorded long ago. It is not just simple pickles, and we have a variety of varieties, which are just appetizer, not the staple food of your Korean people
