Eternal Reign
With Blood Comes Cleansing Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
A new Heaven and new earth will stand for eternity.
Destroyed by fire, many things will pass away.
No more sorrow, nothing left to fear.
God our father shall wipe away all our tears.
No more darkness, no more night, His holy presence shall be the light.
Behold all things are made new.
Only those whose name are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, shall live forever in this city, where there no longer will be strife.
No more darkness, no more night, His holy presence shall be the light. Behold all things are made new.
All things are made new.
The lyrics of With Blood Comes Cleansing's song Eternal Reign speak about the end of the world as we know it. The song starts by saying that everything will be destroyed by fire and that many things will pass away. This is a reference to the Biblical book of Revelation, which describes the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus Christ. The next line, "A new Heaven and new earth will stand for eternity", is a reference to the same book of the Bible, which promises that after the end of the world a new Heaven and a new Earth will be created, where the faithful will dwell with God for all eternity.
The rest of the song talks about the joys of living in this new world. There will be no more sorrow or fear, and God will wipe away all tears. There will be no more darkness or night, for God's presence will be the light. The final line, "Behold all things are made new", is a reminder that everything in this new world will be perfect and pure. The song ends with the repetition of the chorus line, "No more sorrow, nothing left to fear, God our father shall wipe away all our tears. No more darkness, no more night, His holy presence shall be the light. Behold all things are made new. All things are made new".
