The Good Life
Wolf Am I Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

and promise when you torture me
that silence and thank yous or i love yous accordingly
and this weekend we're blossoming and destroy our other lies perfect connection and i deserve what comes next on
Just tired of neglecting ciggarretes and see me through another week and week regret to make it work with you has been an hour or a month infront of films i wish i liked
But im far too self involved to tell myself we're living life without me and im feeling gooood!!!! Life without me!!!!
Please please please find a way to find myself again
Im getting lost between the start of this and the end needs to end
In a quick start love and im a lost cost job everything i thinks falling apart
And i blame myself 15% but the rest i guess is punishment

Took the time with the advice from all my friends for just a while but im far too self involved to tell myself we're living life without me and im feeling gooood.life without mee!!!

Overall Meaning

The first few lines of the Wolf Am I's song The Good Life appear to be discussing a toxic relationship where the singer is being taken advantage of by their partner. They are promising to endure pain and torture in exchange for a few hollow words of appreciation or love. However, despite the mistreatment, the singer is excited to spend the upcoming weekend with their partner, despite the fact that their relationship is built on lies. The singer acknowledges that they've been neglecting themselves and their health in order to make the relationship work. They also describe feeling self-involved and disconnected from their partner, ultimately wondering if their partner could live without them.

The last few lines of the song shift in tone, however. The singer begs to be able to find themselves again, feeling lost between the start and end of their relationship. They describe their love as a "lost cost job" and acknowledge that everything seems to be falling apart. They blame themselves, but also feel as if they are being punished for their mistakes. In the end, the singer realizes that they are far too self-involved to recognize that their partner may be better off without them, and they describe feeling good about the prospect of a life without their toxic relationship.

Saying White washing of history is racist. Stop with these subtle racist jabs at decedents of White countries masked as “anti-racism”.

People like you are indoctrinated - you should devote a week to a deep study of the history of global slavery and you will discover that oppression of people isn’t the result of someone’s will based on their ethnicity but rather the decisions of a small group of very powerful and influential people in a region.

Slavery existed in Africa and the Middle East long before Europeans arrived. At the height of the slave trade the vast majority of the 12.5 million black slaves were traded and sent to South America and the Caribbean which is why over half of Brazil is Afro-Brazilian which comprises the largest black population in the Americas.

The United States took on fewer than 1 million slaves with estimates as low as 600,000. Slaves in the United States were predominately used for agriculture and as servants in the homes of the most wealthy and powerful families in United States.

The average American opposed slavery and viewed slavery as an oppressive tool of the obscenely powerful. Less than 1% of the US population owned slaves which is equivalent to amount of millionaires in America today.

The notion that america is a racist country is absolute BS. Slavery and oppression has always been a tool of the most powerful people on earth and the far-left liberal propaganda being taught in schools wants you to believe that some random White person working a 9-5 in an office busting their ass to make a good life is somehow intertwined with “White supremacy”.

The false narratives surrounding racism is a calculated attack on civilians - it’s basically the rich and powerful saying it’s not us we’re woke the real racist is the plumber down the street!

No, racism and slavery has always been the direct result of a small group of very powerful and wealthy people of in various countries and of various ethnicities.

There isn’t a single continent or ethnicity that hasn’t engaged in some degree of brutality. Study the wars between Native American tribes in North America.

Once you remove the liberal indoctrination that’s being shoved down the throats of millions of naive people, you’ll discover that the biggest atrocities in history stem not form the will of the people but from the will of small elite groups.

Wake up.
