Pity this is not shown from the beginning without the voiceover I still cannot grasp how ' the spiders' did this. It is a brilliant intro. Bowie owed much to these guys, RIP Mick Ronson and Trevor Bolder

They where such a great band together, love the song, admire Bowie but how painful it is to see him getting worse/different here, due to severe addiction. Take a look at his eyes.... Thank God Bowie cleaned up and stayed a great artist!

What are you talking about, Bowie's on top form here. If he was using it certainly didn't affect his performance. The whole band is tight and powerful and Bowie isn't holding anything back. A brilliant performance all round.

He told me once of a joke they had in "the game"...A group of addiction specialist were sitting in a bar and were talking of the problems of addiction..."barman get us a round of whisky each...soon after "barman give us a round of brandy"...a short while later "barman give us a round of gin"...then they all sat round sternly looking at each other and one said...."well what are we going to do about these people who take drugs" and yes Bowie here is great,

Rock n Roll used to be Fun! Kids used to dance to it! What the F happened to those good times? I think it’s all the pot smoking that killed off the dancing. People just want to get high and listen and sit there like a bump on a log. And eat munchies.
It’s really sad. When I watch old footage of rock bands playing everybody in the crowd is dancing all kind of moves but that’s all gone now.

Along with the excitement and danger! RnR used to be dangerous or at least subversive but now it is boring and dull. Ho Hum! I think I’ll take a Nap now!
