But skin and bone awoke to my world of make believe
I snap back to reality and realize that my dream was only make-believe.

When i know i was a dragonfly dreaming that he's me
In my dream, I took on the identity of the dragonfly, but in reality, I am still myself dreaming.

The playhouse comes to life so i stop to have a listen
My imagination creates a world where even my surroundings seem to come alive.

Riding down the sliding board and fly into the kitchen
I slide down a board and imagine myself flying through the air into the kitchen.

Where aimee's wearing fairy wings and cooking up some chicken (veg)
In my imaginary world, Aimee is wearing fairy wings and cooking vegetarian food.

So i hit her with some glitter, "murphy, stop being silly!"
I add some glitter to her wings and tell her to stop being childish.

Outside on the lawn you can see mr. gone
I see a person named Mr. Gone outside on the lawn.

And you know he's going off with the over-the-top-hat on
Mr. Gone is wearing a ridiculous hat and is leaving for an unknown destination.

He got belief and disbelief its just placebo in a bottle
Mr. Gone has a mixture of belief and disbelief, but it's all just a placebo effect.

Just close my eyes and wake up from my dream
I can easily wake up from the world of make-believe with a simple closing of my eyes.

And go back to being a dragongfly lying by a stream
In my mind, I can return to my imaginary identity as a dragonfly by the stream.

Believe it so i see its all
I must fully believe in the imaginative world for it to exist and be real.
