The moniker 'Rising Force' came to prominence on March 5, 1984 at the release of the album of the same name, distributed through Polydor Records. Malmsteen's band featured a mix of instrumental songs and energetic metal tracks, with Jeff Scott Soto notably on vocals, and became a critical and commercial success. In particular, Malmsteen's band was nominated for 'Best Rock Instrumental Performance' at the 1986 Grammy Awards. While the reception of their work waxed and waned throughout the 80s, they still earned a considerable fan response.

Don't Let It End
Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My love for life is torn in vain through all the years
What's the answer to the question
That we have been searching for
Can you tell?
Don't want to fall apart before we have a chance
To try again
I tried so hard to make it right for you and I
Your sacred promises have all become a lie
Is this your idea of destiny?
'Cause if it is, just set me free
You can not fool me with your stories being told
My God it brings me down, I feel I'm growing old
Is this your idea of destiny?
'Cause if it is, just set me free
No, please don't end it now, there is so much more
We can do, you know, don't let it end
Let's gather what we had and build it up, again
It used to be so good, oh, please don't let it end
No, please don't end it now, there is so much more
We can do, you know, don't let it end
The lyrics of Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force's song Don't Let It End convey a sense of urgency and desperation as the singer pleads with his partner to not let their relationship end. The first stanza speaks of the end of time coming near and the singer's love for life being torn in vain through the years. He poses a question asking what the answer is to the search they've been on. These lyrics allude to the idea of life being finite and the search for meaning within that time.
The second stanza speaks to the singer's efforts to make their relationship right, but their partner's promises have become lies. The singer questions their partner's idea of destiny and begs to be set free. These lyrics suggest a feeling of betrayal and a potential loss of personal freedom in the relationship.
The chorus of the song pleads with the partner to not let the relationship end before they have a chance to try again. The singer asks to gather what they had and build it up again, as it used to be so good. These lyrics convey a sense of hope and desire to not give up on the relationship despite the current struggles.
Overall, the lyrics of Don't Let It End convey a sense of urgency and desperation in the singer's plea to save their relationship. They speak to the finite nature of life and the desire to find meaning and connection within it.

pisses me off that this album isn’t on streaming platforms. one of the most underrated hard rock albums of the 80’s. peak vocals and guitar playing.
@alexandretellini2677
That brought me here friend.
@adamjacksonmedia
It’s absolute insanity.
The BEST Yngwie album… not on his modern catalogue.
@pierrerenoir1375
Jesus Christ, what a fantastic album. Possibly the most underrated rock album ever. Having said that, I wish Jeff Scott Soto and the Johansson Brothers (Jens & Anders) got the fame, fortune and credit they deserve, instead of getting canned by Yngwie.
@leololozon3
Has always been my favorite. I agree with u that most people dont pay much atention to this. It is a true pearl, one of the best metal albums ever. Luckily, was first Malm album ive heard, 20 years ago. I still appreciate and respect him mainly because of this work. Someone who achieves this perfection, i think, can do anything after this,,, reaggae, rap...,
@AdrianAshurst
He's truly well known for doing this to ex-band members, and singers as well there's a piece about Yngwie on some rock website..It's an interview with Bo Werner..The Johansson brothers also
@SantomPh
It's like NIN or Florence and the Machine Evanescence, we have to remember it's someone's band and not a group of equals.
@lazman5516
@@SantomPhthat's exactly it. most if not all musicians' feuds with Yngwie are due them trying to act as if they were band members either in the studio or in live situations. these guys would most certainly never have known the true limelight hadn't their paths crossed Yngwie's.
@zappasmoustache23
Nine years later and your’re still absolutely right.
I still get the same excitement listening to it at 52 as I did when I was 15.
@Returningvhstapes
I’m 28 & have been a fan of 80s metal/rock since my teens, but i never knew about this artist until my older coworker introduced me. So happy to hear this! And thank you for uploading.
