1) Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai (born 14 November 1986 in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia), professionally known as Yuna, is an acoustic/alternative/pop singer-songwriter originating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is now based in Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles, US. She began making a mark for herself in the local independent scene in 2007, before releasing her demo in February 2008. Her debut EP, Yuna EP, was released in October 2008. Her debut album was finally released in July 2010, titled Decorate.
Yuna has been cementing herself in the local scene with complementary comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Rachael Yamagata. Her influences include Fiona Apple, Feist, Lykke Li, Sia, Bob Dylan and The Cardigans. Yuna describes her music as "a cross between Mary Poppins and Coldplay".
One of the first few people who expressed interest in her music was Farhan Fadzlishah aka Pa'an (Telephony Delivery), who later became her supporting guitarist. Along the way, Efry Arwis (Lightcraft) helped her with the bass while Adib handled the drums. Adil Ali (Seven Collar T-shirt) replaced Adib after the latter quit to concentrate on his drumming role in Oh Chentaku.
Yuna was eventually discovered in the US by the Indie-Pop record label and management company. They flew out to Malaysia to convince her to sign with them and then proceeded to get her a deal with Fader Label, a record label based in New York, in February 2011. She released her debut US EP, Decorate - EP, in the United States in March the same year. In February 2012, Yuna released her second Malaysian full-length album, Terukir Di Bintang. Her self-titled US full-length album, Yuna, was released on April 24, 2012.

Now that you're out there on your own
You made it seem so easy
I wanna be just like you
I wonder if your heart is healing
You're going out so often now
I see the boys are helping you out
Are they just like you?
No regrets, no looking back now
Never left, you let me back down, no, no, no
Used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I'm better than before
I can never understand why
I'm depending on a guy
To make me feel like I was special
I am special when I'm mine
Keep running on in circles
I was such a slave for love
Now that I know better, I know better of my worth
I was young and I was foolish
Giving up my heart so easy to someone who didn't love me like I do
I was young and I was foolish
All I needed was my spirit and someone will come and love me like I do
No regrets, no looking back now
Never left, you let me back down, no, no, no
Used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I'm better than before
Used to love you
I used to love you
Used to love you
Used to love you
Used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I used to love you, used to care
But no more
I'm better than before
In the song "Used To Love You" by Yuna, the singer addresses her ex and reflects on the past of their relationship. The opening lines of the song suggest that the singer is curious about her ex-partner's life after their breakup. She asks whether he thinks of her now that he is "out there on [his] own." She then notes how her ex has made the process of moving on look easy, confessing that she wishes she could be like him. The chorus reveals that the singer is no longer in love with her ex and doesn't care for him the way she once did. She repeats the line, "I used to love you, used to care, but no more," emphasizing the finality of their relationship.
The second verse indicates that the singer used to depend on her ex-partner to make her feel special. She calls herself a "slave for love" who was "young and foolish" for giving her heart so quickly to someone who didn't appreciate her. However, the singer has since learned to value herself and recognizes her worth. She acknowledges that she is special when she is her true self and that a partner who values her will come along. The chorus repeats, reinforcing the singer's message that her feelings have changed, and she is better off without her ex.
