Eish,Besi blome ekoneni, nezi mpintshi zami
Aww kwase kudlula le stoko
Ube muhle mahn, e khanya qwa
Ngase ngim approach'a
Ngavele nga buya ne number
Ezakwami, ezakwam', zang saluta
Bezinga kholwi, ukuthi
Siyobuya sibonane
Haaa siyobuya sibonane
Angeke sikhohlwane
Siyobuya sibonane yey yey yeye
Ahaa haahah siyobuya sibonane
Soze sikhohlwane yey yey
Khohlwane yey
Haahaa

I wanna thank you, sthandwa sami
For baring and staying with me
But you switchin' up though, you loving him harder
Ima have to try and live without
And it can happen, without you
Without you, you
Without you, you
Without your love yeah yeah
I wanna thank you, sthandwa sami
For baring and staying with me
But you switchin' up though, you loving him harder
Ima have to try and live Without you
And it can happen, without you
Without you, you
Without you, you
Without your love, yeah yeah

Tot-tot,son'shayel' inumber, mmh
Qoqo,vulani amasango manje, mmh
Inhliziyo yami,ngiyi vala umnyango, mmh
Kyafana, kyafana, kyafana, kya
Ezakwam', zang saluta
Bezinga kholwi, ukuthi
Siyobuya sibonane
Haaa siyobuya sibonane
Angeke sikhohlwane
Siyobuya sibonane yey yey yeye
Ahaa haahah siyobuya sibonane
Soze sikhohlwane yey yey
Khohlwane yey
Haahaa

I wanna thank you, sthandwa sami
For baring and staying with me
But you switchin' up though, you loving him harder
Ima have to try and live Without
And it can happen, without you
Without you, you
Without you, you
Without your love yeah yeah
I wanna thank you, sthandwa sami
For baring and staying with me
But you switchin' up though, you loving him harder
Ima have to try and live Without you
And it can happen, without you
Without you, you

Without you, you
Without your love, yeah yeah

Overall Meaning

The song "Without" by Zero A.D. is a mix of two languages, English and Zulu, expressing painful feelings of a lover who is being left for someone else. The first verse in Zulu talks about seeing beautiful flowers on the roadside and waves to his friends while walking to meet his lover. He had approached her and had gotten her phone number, hoping to meet again soon. He feels they had a connection, and they would meet again. The chorus is in English, where the artist thanks his lover for being with him and staying by his side. But he feels that she's slowly losing interest in him, and her love is shifting towards someone else. He concludes that he can still live without her even though it hurts.

The artist continues to sing in Zulu in the second verse, asking his lover to open the door and let him in. He mentions that everything is okay, only for her to leave him for another. However, he maintains hope of reuniting with her in the future. In the chorus, he repeats the statements from the first chorus. He thanks his lover for staying with him, confesses her love's dwindling, and acknowledges the possibility of living without her.
