As a teenager, I was able to enjoy this song whether I was full of joy or deeply sad. And today, 2023, as an old man, this song still affects me in a way as if I've never heard it before.

This song brings tears to my eyes. Me and my husband danced to this song back in 1972 when we were 18. He proposed a year later. We spent 31 years together. He was the light of my light, the fire that kept me living. He fathered my children. They were best 31 years of my life I could ever have asked for. Cancer took him early. He only had 50 years...I look back on this song and smile, it represents the life we shared and the years we cherished together. You will forever be in my heart David
