Ever since an ant got inside my new expensive computer monitor/screen a couple months ago and died smack in the middle, I made it my lifelong mission to study, kill, poison and torture all ants and leave their twisted & squashed slain carapaces strewn across my floor for all their ant buddies to stumble upon. Legs still moving, but unable to go any further... I feel nothing. The ants in my house are relentless and we leave no food out whatsoever, they just seem to exist endlessly walking in random directions in various rooms, including bathrooms for some reason I cannot fathom. They just wander and wander all over not ever getting any food. I found a colony of them not to long ago living inside a power strip in my kitchen, by the thousands, it was a very 'eek' moment. Well there was no queen I think but it was a humongous battalion nonetheless. Just a few days ago I got a case of Terro liquid traps and put them all around and the ants are going absolutely nuts over it. Drink, drink up, my friends...if you dare! Uwa, ha, ha!!!

Something ive learned on all these years on earth is that ants are not in your house because you have Netflix or you have a Rolls in the garage or you have a killer surround system,they are in your house because something is luring them there,once i lived in this house and i had a bad ant problem and i couldn't figure out why, i started investigating, the previous tenant had a small bag of sugar that had been left behind (open of course) buried waaaay back in one of the very very top cabinets out of sight, once that went in the trash they had nothing to be there for,they left soon after, this might not be the case all the time but its a huge percentage of what it is.

Another time i had dropped a bowl of frosted flakes on the counter, i thought i had picked everything up, several flakes went in the stove thru the burners inside of the stove,well there they were again next summer on a picnic until i found the cause,once i took the stove apart i found the flakes and cleaned everything out, i can tell you for sure they love that sugar, they must not get diabetes unfortunately.

Hello! So basically i think there are loads of ants in my neighbors place, i have gotten rid of them multiple times but they crawl out of random walls and openings, even though i keep my apartment clean and sometime (weekends don't) they show up regardless, one time i ordered pizza and left it for about 30 minutes finding a ton of ants to go around and that is when i realized that i have to find all opening and spray them with a strong odor. I realized that concentrated eucalyptus is the best for the openings as the pheromones gets covered along with the ants instantly dieing which i would prefer not to kill them as they actually help the ecosystem however i did this: took a bunch of sugar and water, placed them in different places in my apartment to see the openings, once i located them, i put a spray called "repel" which is a plant based lemon and eucalyptus spray and bam! they stopped coming into my apartment. i did seal majority of the openings with silicone so that they cannot enter through these again and sprayed the kitchen opening or around them about once in 5-8 weeks and this keeps them out! can leave my pizza out again!!

They always came in by the garden tub. So we cut a hole from t he garage to underneath the garden tub and set off a Hot Shot fogger can for insects including ants. A few were dead on my tile floor but nothing else except today I saw a super mini ant which I think was a baby, so we are setting off another one tomorrow. (eggs may have hatched) This is the first time I have been virtually ant free for months. I have tried baits, all kinds of sprays which only partially worked for maybe one or two nights. They come out at night. We really didn't see any under the tub so I think they must be in the walls. I don't see them on the outside. Hope this helps someone.

I dealt with the problem with cinnamon ( real cinnamon, no artificial crap) and organic soap with lemon in it ( the kind of soap you use to wash your counter table etc. My english isn't that good so I don't know how it's called in Engish).

I figured out where the ants where come in to my house and used a lot of cinnamon to deter them ( they hate cinnamon). And wiped the paths clean with the soap where I saw them walking.

Within three days I got rid of them. They adapt and use new paths and entrances. Apply the cinnamon at the new entrance and wipe the new paths.

Yes, I just learned to find out what they are after. Baits I put out will not do a massive draw. But found they love bbq chicken. So I mix it with borax soap and give them all they want. Within a week, they disappear. I now have it frozen now and slice some off and load up cleaned-up terror traps. I set them under large stones to keep the sun off. It works really well.

Jessely P The only way to get rid of them is to keep anything and everything that has sugar put away, wiped up, sealed up, swept up, vacuumed up...there can be no sugar left out. You won't see a whole bunch of them if you do that. You will still see the "scouts" every now and then probably. I call them scouts because they are the ones by themselves looking for stuff. They are looking for sugar!!!

Correct. Though you gotta do it cautiously. Folks have fallen from apartments while looking for colonies and sustained serious bruises or even broken their limbs and jaws.

Those little sh!ts were in my room for ages. Using a single hard candy, I figured out they want sugar. Mix sugar and borax, then coat in windex. Killed ‘em not too quickly but it still worked

I just put down a half dozen terro ant bait traps and got a lot of ants but we still have ants coming from somewhere and they show up on the counter.

I've been using an Ant Trap with great results . It looks like a very small mouse trap , it catches an Ant every day ! I'm so happy with its performance that I will be getting a second and maybe a third trap to double or triple my killing capacity ! beLIEve me .

Just put a lemon and mint into a blender with a cup of water and blend it smooth filter through a coffee filter into a spray bottle fill the spray bottle the rest of the way with water shake it up and spray it where ever you see ants or any other bugs works great

Having a problem with them in our bathroom now, seems to be getting progressively worse, but there is no trail so somehow they're getting into the bathroom from the bathroom area. I've put up some bait traps to see if that'll do any good, I think there might be a hole around the tub area like Delta Tv mentioned, any ideas on how to deal with that if that's the case?
