Not to be confused with 井上大佑 (Daisuke Inoue) who was the inventor of Karaoke.

He was born on September 13th, 1941 in Tokyo. Of his work, his songs "Beginning" and "Meguriai" are his best known. He was a photographer for several series and had a role in the classic Porco Rosso movie. He died on May 30th, 2000.

Recently, popular Japanese singer Gackt has covered his Gundam songs and brought them to popularity within a new generation of fans.
