In 1992, Social Justice (1987-92) changed their name to downset., and released their Our Suffocation demo in 1993.
downset. officially split in May 2009, claiming the band had "officially run its course".
Through there career they released records on Polygram, Epitaph and Hawino.
Downset have said in many interviews that they draw most of their influence from the band KIDS OF CARNAGE and would not have been a band if it wasn't for the first two KOC 7 inches.
