Created in 1999, Erevan features members of various past and present punk/hardcore bands (Burn on Ice, Switch stance, Sightseers, Eis). Their respective experiences enabled them to write songs quickly and to release their first demotape within a year of playing together. Despite the modest means, it received a warm welcome. It was followed by a self-released 7 tracks CD-R, establishing their artistic direction. In 2003, supported by local record labels Mayo records, Gandoo Records and Astasia, Erevan delivered a 12 tracks album entitled Memorial. Marrying a melodic music with angry and sharp riffs, Erevans music combines pop emotion ( Mineral, Sunny day Real Estate, Garden Variety, Radiohead) with hardcore rage (Grade, Hot Water Music...) and a rock vibe( Fugazi, Monochrome, Aina...).It goes from one feeling to another, infusing people with its melodic music. The band aims to play live as much as possible. They have already done shows with French national bands (Dead Pop Club, HK, Gingerbread, Unscarred, Nothing to Prove, Twist, Riggel, Man Made Monster, Clumsy, Chewbacca Allstars, Crush on mary, Federal, New Rose Hotel, Burning Heads...),european bands (Cornflames, Stiffled cries, SeeinRed, Standstill, Kids Go Free, Logh, Malkovich...) and American bands (Twelve hour Turn, Kill the man Who questions, Bats and Mice, J Church, Engine Down, Maserati, Slingshot Dakota, Some Girls...)

These lyrics are an exploration of the ethical implications of eating meat, arguing that our societal conditioning as carnivores has turned us into cannibals who consume the flesh of other animals without considering the exploitation and suffering that it entails. The song urges the listener to be conscious of the exploitation of all living creatures, including other humans and non-human animals, and to reject the notion of superiority over other beings based on intelligence or any other traits. Ultimately, the song asserts that nothing justifies the death and suffering of animals, especially those whose cries are unheard.
The lyrics are a powerful critique of the meat industry and the societal norms that support it, highlighting the interconnectedness of all living things and the responsibility we have to respect and protect them. At the heart of the song is a rejection of the idea that humans are inherently superior to other animals, and a call to recognize the value and inherent worth of all life forms.
