1) A pseudenym of Michael Hunter (aka Butch Cassidy Sound System), an established UK producer and musician. His album is called: "Turntable Technology", feat' Record Shop (2009, Soma Quality).
As well as popular tracks on compilations, e.g. Do What You Gotta Do, very limited records have been released on: Guidance, Fenetik / Soma, Good Looking Records, Red Hook Recordings and Howlin' Records - which included Roll Call (aka "Roll Call :7am").

2) An New York, USA acoustic alt-country / folk rock quintet of two sets of brothers and a wife: ex-Awek Paul Schalda (vocals, guitar), ex-The Realistics Will Schalda (keyboards), Paul's wife Maggie Schalda (vocals, keyboard), Michael Strandberg (guitar, bass, lap steel) and William Strandberg (drums). Their début album was "Half the Time" (Oct 2006, Curb Appeal) and their latest is "Here I Am" (11 Feb 2011, Unit Records).
Paul has a ghost's voice, an old haunted soul that shivers its way up through his mouth to share its cracked-glasses view of the world with those of us lucky enough to listen. The band is the vehicle for that voice and the lives it's lived. Previously heard draped over the Pavement-influenced treble clang of outer-borough indie rock heroes Awek, Schalda's distinct and affecting vocals stand at the band's center, drawing chills from the tight economy of his lyrics and conveying something deeper than most words usually get across anyway. It's smart music that connects at gut level, a rare treasure in a crowded space. Clipped stories prop themselves up against solitary acoustic guitar, or find a full body in the stellar and spare accompaniment provided by brother Will and his varied keys, wife Maggie's harmonies and the Strandberg brothers' ample multi-instrumentation. The result is a sound singular enough to equally evoke Odetta Holmes and The Replacements - one that perked up the ears of KEXP's John Richards, on "John in the Morning", and landed them East Coast, USA support-slots, with: Matt Pond PA, Earlimart, Brendan Benson and Kevin Devine. Initially, they self-released an EP

5) A Minneapolis, MN based singer-songwriter also known as Pablo Jones whose CDs include Vulgar Modalities (1999) and Bitches And Machines (2001).
6) A solo project of Paul 'Pablo' Thomas (established composer & multi-instrumentalist for Spellbound) from Los Angeles, California, on the Selfish Recordings label. pablo Lyrics

The high yellow moon won't come out to play
I said darkness has covered my light,
and has changed my day into night, yeah.
Where is the love to be found
Won't someone help me
'Cause sweet life must be somewhere to be found
Where the living is hardest
Concrete jungle
Man and woman have to do their best.
No chains around my feet
But still I'm not free
I know I am bound here in captivity
I've never known what happiness is
I've never known what sweet caress is
I'll be always laughing like a clown
Won't somebody help me?
'Cause my sweet life must be somewhere out there to be found
Instead of a concrete jungle
Where the living is hardest
Concrete jungle
A woman has to do her best
Sweet life, sweet life
Concrete jungle
Where the living is hardest
Concrete jungle
Man has to do his best
Concrete jungle
Where the living is hardest
Concrete jungle
People you've got to do your best
Concrete jungle
The lyrics of Pablo's song Jungle touch upon the struggles of individuals living in urban cities, particularly the African-American community. The opening lines highlight the absence of a positive influence in the singer's life, with no sunshine or moonlight to brighten his day. The metaphorical use of darkness symbolizes hopelessness and despair. The chorus follows with a plea for assistance to find love and a "sweet life," indicating a longing for a life with purpose and fulfillment.
The verses specifically talk about the struggles of living in the concrete jungle, where individuals do their best to survive in a world filled with hardships. The imagery of being bound in captivity despite there being no chains around the singer's feet symbolizes the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of poverty and lack of opportunity. The line "I've never known what happiness is" speaks to the larger issue of systemic injustice and inequality, where individuals are unable to experience the simplest pleasures in life due to the harsh realities of their environment. The repetition of the plea for help in finding a better life highlights the urgency and desperation of the singer's situation.
Overall, Pablo's song is a reflection of the struggles and hardships faced by individuals in urban areas, particularly those in marginalized communities. The lyrics highlight the need for support and assistance in creating a more equitable society where individuals are not bound by their circumstances.
