Diesen Sommer ist mit "train/05_12_11 eine weitere EP dazu gekommen, die nach Autobahn-Nachtfahrt, Stürmischem Himmel und angenehmem Dämmerzustand klingt. Zwei Techno-Tracks zum schlafen und tanzen.

May I please just say:
I had never heard of Hollow Knight aside from one piano cover I had watched previously, so, the name feeling slightly familiar and the beautiful art style in the thumbnail, I clicked.
I'm not sure if I understood anything at all in the video at first, but i was captivated by the art (it's what I had hoped my style to be similar to one day) so I kept rewatching.
Then, forgot all about it.
Weeks, maybe months later, I watched another Hollow Knight animated meme.
It was easily understandable and... unfortunately spoiled the entire game.
I, again, only after months, decided to watch a playthrough of the game.
I love it now, and watch almost anything related to it that is recommended to me. :)
I saw this video recommended to me, and was very confused, because the bar underneath showed that I had watched halfway through it.
Which was very strange, because I certainly did not remember watching a vid like this recently.
And, I mean no offense, but usually I avoid "serious" or story related animations about HK, because they're sometimes extra edgy, which=cringy. (Again, this is only sometimes.)
bUT. Watching this video again, while being able to understand the story now, AND appreciate the gorgeous art and animation, is amazing.
So... thank you for introducing me to Hollow Knight (and also reminding me how much I love this kind of art style.)

OKAY IM BACK NOW AND READY TO LEAVE A PROPER COHERENT APPRECIATIVE COMMENT.
Good god. Where to begin? First off, as usual, your artstyle is beautifully expressive and your angles and animation are mindblowing. The way you portrayed Hornet's emotional state while still very much retaining her personality (even though she's not usually an openly emotive person) really struck a cord and is one of the most heartbreaking aspects of this video.
Your gijinka designs themselves are SO incredible and immediately recognisable, even to someone who's never seen them before! i instantly recognised pk, the white lady, and herrah with absolutely no trouble. And I ADORE the dark irisless style you use for the eyes- i feel like it makes it so that despite them being gijinkas, there's an element of otherness to them, which is absolutely gorgeous and fitting for hollow knight as a whole!
moreso, the story of this is just... so incredibly heartwrenching! i dont see many people acknowledging the white lady's part in this- or specifically how you, as Ghost, find her in her chambers and she essentially gives you half of a charm and tells you "hey, i hope this helps you go get sealed and be alone, possible in tremendous amounts of pain, forever despite knowing for sure vessels aren't pure and having had first hand experience in the matter. nice chat c:". Like thats your own mother telling you that! Holy shit! And Hornet's justified anger- her having clearly developed fondness for Ghost and caring about them- it makes me ache so deeply.
There were so many beautiful sequences in this as a whole! The White Lady and PK overlapping at "held (them) til the moment (they) *died*". "blood and gore" - shifting between ghost and an infected thk... Ghost "facing their regrets" and having their weeping shade LITERALLY suffocate them. Hornet's sequence of steadily losing everyone- the hollow knight, her mother, ghost- and all the adults in hornets life; pk, herrah, and wl...
It's so beautifully tragic. Her anger. Her loneliness. The depth of her determination. Hornet's *had enough*. She's lost everything to post-radiance Hallownest; her mother, two of her siblings, her childhood to a burden she never wanted- and with the eradiction of the infection, the only purpose she ever knew.
additionally you draw ghost like SUCH A CHILD... IT HURTS SO MUCH. to see them like that, so obviously small and vulnerable and alone, having gone through so much unspeakable pain and lost so much and gotten nothing but eternal lonliness in the end... awful. so so incredibly awful, so painful and poignant and emotionally evocative to so perfectly characterise them as the child that they are. i think gijinkas were the best option for a video like this.
TLDR: i love literally everything about this. thank you SO much for such a gift, ill watch it many times
