Roca Firme is a very interesting band, especially for those that are looking for an introduction to alt-metal with an experimental touch. The band, formed by OB Rosales (Lead voice), Bobby Pérez (guitar and bgv's), Moe Rosales (bass), Moises Cifuentes (drums) and Sari Pérez (guitar), has an 8 year long history, 2 full length albums, 2 ep's, countless tours and a very strong fan base.
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, the band has a story filled with ups and downs, even situations that have endangered it's very existence. However, all these experiences have been necessary steps that, in many times with pain, they've had to go through to establish themselves as one of the most relevant and talented bands in the Christian Rock Scene.
2005 marked the definitive solidification of the band, thanks to their record label "Firmline Productions", who rescued their previous work, reedited it and made the band widely known through many concerts and exposure in the media. The label also produced their first professional music video for the song "Limpiame", and helped them to produce their most recent work.
Roca Firme is not just another band in the Christian rock scene, they are an amazing example of effort and perseverance. They have overcome the difficult times, while producing a very solid collection of work, to be considered a band breaking the molds, while barely just starting. There is, for sure, a lot of road left to walk and enjoy with these guys.

A.I.
roca firme Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Muestran la injusticia del mal
Cuerpos desechos gritan
Fuerte llantos de hombres no están
No están
Del dolor sublime fatal
Cubre el alma de mi ser
Débiles seres escuchénme
Sus pies
No te dejes marcar
No te dejes marcar
Manos heridas en un final
Muestran la injusticia del mal
Débiles seres escuchénme
Las tinieblas caen a sus pies
Sus pies
No te dejes marcar
No te dejes marcar
Veo tanto mal
Veo tanto mal
Veo tanto mal
Veo tanto mal
No te dejes marcar
No te dejes marcar
No, no, no te dejes marcar
The lyrics to Roca Firme's "A.I." are a call to action for those who have been hurt or disadvantaged by the injustices of the world. The first verse describes the physical scars left behind by a cruel and unjust situation, and how they serve as a reminder of the wrongs that have been done. The second verse speaks to the emotional pain and suffering that continues long after the physical scars have healed, and urges the listener to remain strong and resist the darkness that threatens to consume them.
The repeated refrain of "No te dejes marcar" (don't let yourself be marked) is a powerful statement of refusal to be defined or defeated by the trials and tribulations of life. The fact that it is repeated several times throughout the song underscores its importance as a call to action, a reminder to stay strong and resist the urge to give up or accept defeat.
Overall, "A.I." is a song that speaks to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. It acknowledges the pain and suffering that exists in the world, but it also offers a message of hope and encouragement to those who may be struggling. In the end, it is a reminder that we are all capable of overcoming even the darkest of circumstances if we remain committed to our own strength and resilience.
