The lyrics of Sam Skilz's song "Welcome Home" describe the singer's excitement to welcome someone to their home and their desire to dance and party together. The lyrics mention the singer being on fire, dancing to the beats, and inviting the listener to join them. The line "Chora chora Saba Saba" refers to the 7th day of the month (Saba means "seven" in Swahili) when people in East Africa typically receive their salaries and celebrate. The chorus encourages the listener to dance, unlock their feet, and chill, imagining themselves at the beach.
The song continues to express the singer's confidence and leadership, referring to themselves as the boss and capable of taking on big deals. The lyrics also include references to specific people and places, adding to the sense of familiarity and community. The instrumental portion of the song highlights a tinga-tinga-style melody, drawing inspiration from Tanzanian art.
Overall, "Welcome Home" is a joyful and upbeat song that celebrates coming together and dancing as a community.
