The idea of SAPPHIRE EYES were born when Niclas decided to write and record a new album. The first idea was to pick a female vox for a projectrecording. After some rehearsals with the girls the decision for a male vocals came to mind. Thomas Bursell did the vocals on the one and only SECOND HEAT album, released in 2004, and did great. Bassplayer, Thomas Löyskä, and Niclas have been playing together on both ALYSON AVENUE albums and SECOND HEAT and couldn't be apart on this one either. Now there were three members and the idea of a "real" band were getting closer. Tony Rohtla and Fredrik Eriksson were asked to join. Both played together with Thomas Löyskä and Niclas Olsson in ALYSON AVENUE in the middle of the 90..s and suited perfect. It was important to put together a band that would work both musically and socially. At this moment SAPPHIRE EYES is down due to ALYSON AVENUE. ALYSON AVENUE is working hard for the third release.
