We advise cupping ONLY on the expiratory phase. If something pops loose on inspiration it can possibly lodge and choke the patient.
By now another Respiratory Therapist must have left a comment about this. Wish you could edit that out. It only takes that one unfortunate time that could be fatal. Your cupping was great!

I've beed doing this to my kids currently my 7year old daughter that has been coughing for 3 days and night. Learned it from my grandparents that would do it to me when I was little. Anyway my daughter just fell asleep while I was doing the hitting method on her back as her coughing stopped 🙏 Had her to see her pediatrician today to make sure it's nothing more serious and luckily it's just her seasonal allergies causing it. Really does work wonders 😊
