Justice is not
Always blind
Man is not
Dance to your own freedom
Smile for what you believe in
So don′t follow the crowd
You don't follow the crowd
The HIATUS's song Don't Follow The Crowd is a powerful message to the listeners to be independent in thoughts and actions. The lyrics “Always blind, justice is not” suggests that justice should be a fair and unbiased process, but often we see that even justice can be blind, and the ones who can’t speak or don't have a voice are always the ones who suffer. However, we as humans can make our own choices, and we should not blindly follow what everyone else is doing. The lyrics suggest that the listeners should follow their own beliefs and principles and not just follow the masses.
The lyrics “Dance to your own freedom, Smile for what you believe in” encourages the listeners to enjoy their freedom of beliefs and to stand up for what they think is right. The song urges people to be unique, and not just follow others, which can give them a sense of freedom and self-respect. The chorus “So don’t follow the crowd, You don't follow the crowd” emphasises the message of the song and tells the listeners that they should not be swayed by the opinions or actions of others and should always lead their own way.
