After successfully touring the UK, the duo recorded a well received follow-up EP, Bearing, North, which has since received extensive blog coverage and subsequent airtime on Amazing Radio, BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, and many more small indie radio shows across the globe. Replacing Olsson as Powell's partner in the project, is writer and performer Jess Bartlet, from Cambridge, while Olsson will remain in her native Sweden.

To things just beginning.
Secretly, I escape
In the midst of the evening.
Under the studio lights
Reddened walls fade.
And I keep walking.
I keep walking.
I'm here for the ride
I'll drink till I'm unconscious
I'll drink to feel alive
Washed up roads
And the man inside
It takes courage
To stand up and fight.
Built up blues of the horizon
Seem to glow
Here I'll watch the day break
And the night end.
See the haze form
As I deeply exhale
Slowly rising
Slowing falling.
Dolt's chorus
Echoes from the trees.
There isn't much
To separate you and me.
I finally feel the warmth
Touch my face.
It's the end of the cold,
I've found my place.
The lyrics of treasureseason's song Exhale convey a sense of escapism and finding oneself through music and alcohol. The singer looks forward to new beginnings and seeks refuge in the studio during the evening. The red walls fade away as the singer keeps walking, both physically and metaphorically, delving deeper into their emotions. The singer then speaks of locking themselves in and being present for the ride. They turn to drinking to feel alive and forget their troubles. The singer then paints an image of a washed-up road and the man inside, hinting at the struggles they face. Yet, they acknowledge that it takes courage to stand up and fight.
The blues of the horizon build up, creating a sense of tension, but then the singer watches the day break and the night end, indicating the start of something new. As they exhale, the haze forms, signifying a release of their pent-up emotions. The slow rise and fall of the breath highlight the importance of being present and mindful. The dolt's chorus echoes from the trees, mirroring the singer's sense of isolation. However, they realize that there isn't much to separate them from anyone else, indicating a newfound sense of belonging. Finally, the warmth touches their face, marking the end of the cold and the singer finding their place.
Overall, the lyrics of Exhale encapsulate the complex emotions of the singer as they navigate the highs and lows of life through music and introspection, ultimately finding solace in themselves.

Thanks! I changed the synchrony ice skate line lmao I think I put that because I had ice skating on my mind (just got back from the rink!) among other ones. Dolt's chorus would mean that the "you and me" are both young/dumb people who go in and out of love easily, given the line after it, "There isn't much to separate you and me."
