When Delta decided to treat music as a career at 16 years old, they were first inspired by the digicore artist saturn and his song omegle. After befriending the artist and gaining access to his preset, Delta began creating a similar style of music falling under the digicore & hyperpop umbrella throughout 2020, releasing their first serious album die on Spotify that March. Following this release, they began releasing several singles which were previously only available on SoundCloud which led to become the album songs and music.
Prior to this shift, they had specialized in creating lofi adjacent music under the names delta day and bomber, having worked on music in various forms since they were around the age of 12 years old.
Delta has been very active on SoundCloud for upwards of seven years, managing a total of ten known accounts as of 2023, though many of them are no longer in use. It can be speculated that there are more, yet Delta has not made them publicly available. Furthermore, they feel a great connection to their Brazilian roots and appreciate their Brazilian fans greatly; implementing their native language of Brazilian Portuguese into many of their songs, most notably a verse in titles and the full songs inferno, senta, and campo. They also produce and collaborate with Brazilian artist virgingod rather consistently.
Stated in an interview, Delta does not contain themselves within a particular genre and likes to consider their sound as a unique one that isn’t defined with one simple label. With that being said, they don't mind their previous works being recognized under the hyperpop umbrella, as they are very recognizable within that community, having worked with artists such as ericdoa, angelus, SEBii, midwxst, funeral, MOL$, and more. They also produce music for a plethora of other artists within the scene, and have made a cover of one of quinn’s most popular songs, i don't want that many friends in the first place. Though, Delta has since expressed interest in changing the direction they will take their music in the future, spending a considerable amount of time exploring different artistic directions and expanding on side projects.
