But Squidward wanting to kill SpongeBob does make sense since he does admit that he hates being SpongeBob's next-door neighbor, to the point that he said that his life was actually better before SpongeBob moved in the neighborhood with him and Patrick.

At least Plankton, despite being the main antagonist of SpongeBob SquarePants, wasn't present in this since he was out of town and didn't realize why Bikini Bottom was shrunken down.
