The MS stands for Mazatlán, Sinaloa. It was created by brothers Sergio and Alberto Lizárraga, who are also members of the group. They debuted in 2004 with their album "No Podrás". Their album Qué Bendición reached number one on the Billboard Latin albums chart in the United States. From 2003 to 2006 Julion Alvarez was part of the band and later in 2006 Julion left Banda Ms and went solo and made his own band named Julion Alvarez Y Su Norteño Banda. In 2020 Banda MS collaborated a song with West Coast Gangsta Rapper Snoop Dogg and then Banda MS collaborated songs with Mexican musicians such likes Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan, Fuerza Regida, Christian Nodal, Carin Leon, Los 2 de la S, Lenin Ramirez, Eden Muñoz the former vocalist of the Mexican bands Colmillo Norteño and Calibre 50. Now Banda MS collaborated with West Coast Hip-Hop, G-Funk and Gangster Rap artist Ice Cube.
