The project will feature the company's female artists in various different sub-units. The first unit consists of seven members: BoA, TAEYEON and HYO of Girls' Generation, SEULGI and WENDY of Red Velvet, and KARINA and WINTER of aespa. The group teased their first digital single on January 1, 2022 at SM's free online concert "'SMTOWN LIVE 2022' SMCU EXPRESS @KWANGYA." The track "Step Back" was officially released on January 3, 2022.
